Plenty of pace from Sunrise Amour, Sprouting and Le Corsaire matching motors ahead of Cheerful Voice. LE CORSAIRE (4) went forward last start and proved too strong, getting home by 2 lengths over 1200m at this track. Drawn to enjoy a good run on the speed. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. POD VADER (6) has been safely held at his last couple of outings, the latest in stakes class when seventh in the G3 Hakodate Sprint Stakes. Expected to feature back in this class. ANZU AME (9) returns from the paddock after closing last prep with two consecutive wins, the most recent over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt. Has a formidable record at this journey with two wins and four placings from six starts and has to be respected. CHEERFUL VOICE (10) finished second two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by a nose as public elect over 1400m at this track. Nicely placed to take this out.
