Solid tempo with Royal Socks to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. FLYING DAY (8) has been kept fresh since finishing fourth over 1400m at this track five weeks ago. Was a determined winner two starts back. Should be poised just off the lead. Leading contender. ROYAL SOCKS (11) showed good pace over 1200m at this track last time and went on to score by 4 lengths. Should cross from wide out. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. MARU JANGGUN (4) has put together a couple of wins at this circuit, the latest on July 4 over 1400m when he got home by a neck. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot score again. THUNDER DREAM (10) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 1200m at this track. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and deserves respect.
