GOING: H(9)

HAPPY HIRE RATING 75 1200m

Track: HEAVY 9     True

Strong tempo expected with Miss Emerald, So Brassy and Magnastar prominent. GUZZLER (5) bolted in when winning his maiden at Waverly in his penultimate start, and then carried that form through for another win here on the first day. He has been patiently handled for a 7YO gelding, and he can take the next step here. The hat-trick beckons. HOORAY FOR HARRY (3) races well here, and will be coming in to this race on the fresh side, which would be a query if he were not trained by the leading Walker/Bergerson stable. A wet track is no problem, and he can figure in the top 3 here. VIVACIOUS (1) will give the Walker/Bergerson stable a strong hand in this field, and with the aid of a 2kg claim, she is well worth including in all top 4 combos. MAGNASTAR (6) broke a win drought when winning as expected at Oamaru nearly 3 weeks ago. This field has more depth to it, but he loves it heavy, and he won't be far away. CYPRESS (4) is fresh to the meeting, but he will be peaking third up from a spell. The Myers stable will have ready to win, so don't risk him, we aren't. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cypress each way.
