Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Chestnut Thunder and Basso Caruso. Good race with several main win chances. TURFIE (5) ran well fresh in tougher grade then charged home to score over a mile last time. Fitter again and looks aided by the extra ground. Can go on with it. REDEVANCE (2) has been kept fresh since finishing sixth but less than a length from the winner in a tougher race last time. Runner-up the start prior and in this company will go close. ASHAU VALLEY (1) has been finding it hard to win but continues to race well. Worth noting is unbeaten here from two tries. Looks a big chance. LA PLAGE (4) was thereabouts over a mile latest in tougher class but fitter, extra trip suits and a back a notch so can improve sharply. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Turfie on the way up.
