Trophy Central Maiden Plate 1200m
Small field in which Dynasty Reward can find the front comfortably at a moderate tempo. DYNASTY REWARD (2) looks hard to beat. Working up to a win and freshened for this. Has the claim and inside draw and sure to go close. HIGHSTRUNG (4) is a consistent performer with two minor placings from three starts this campaign. Was prominent throughout and finished 2.75 lengths from the winner in third at the latest outing over 1400m at this track. Back and trip and looks hard to beat in this line-up. DENUTO (1) has not appeared since he finished seventh over 1000m at this track on November 1. Former NSW galloper yet to fire in three runs in the NT but will have derived benefit from the break. Can make his presence felt. ROSEBUD LASS (5) settled back on debut last time out and battled on evenly to finish fifth over 1100m at this track. Back to maiden class and should be much improved. Has upside and worth including. ARTISTIC FLAIR (3) has had one run this area and should be better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Dynasty Reward. |

Rimfire Energy Handicap, 1st Leg National Apprentice Race Series 1100m
Only a small field but Stella Bystarlight, Hellivit and Mods will ensure a genuine tempo. MODS (4) has had three runs for the new yard and placed last two. Runner-up latest over 1200m and on the quick back-up. Bursting to win and gets chance. STELLA BYSTARLIGHT (2) is an honest type resuming. Has started 10 time this circuit for two wins and seven minors and the only unplaced run was a fourth. Speed galloper well placed with the claim and will take catching. HELLIVIT (1) led throughout last start to score an effortless 3.5 lengths win over 1100m at this track. Goes very well here and off the inside will take catching again. BON'S A LAD (3) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1100m at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 2 lengths. Won maiden the start prior. Has the claim and a low draw and looks set to run well again. BAD MAN (5) goes well fresh and is among the chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Mods. |

Maloney Kan Accountants Handicap 1100m
Mougenot has enough early speed to find the lead at a decent clip. Top race despite the small field and it all hinges on the newcomer to the NT in REWARDS AND MORE (2). Former Victorian having first start this area and looks very well placed with the lightly weight. Arrives third-up from a spell and is unbeaten from three tries in that state. Best figures more than measure up and expected to hit the ground running. MOUGENOT (6) has had two runs since a break, the latest a win over 1000m at this track. Has won four of five starts since joining the yard and with the nice weight can run well now out to open class. BOY BIG (3) is a veteran sprinter with great starts this course and distance and looks a leading prospect. Winning rider Paul Denton stays aboard. Expected to feature again. DELAGO LAD (4) is very well weighted for this and should be thereabouts. FLYING YISHU (1) cannot be underestimated despite carrying the big weight. Has superb starts for this and has won 3/6 fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Rewards And More. |

Ladbrokes Same Race Multi Handicap, 2nd Leg National Apprentice Race Series 1000m
Several of these have good gate speed so a strong tempo is expected. MIDNIGHT HUSTLE (2) is a former Victorian who has raced twice for the new yard, placing the first run then leading throughout to score with ease before another break. Tricky gate but goes well fresh and expected to take some catching. TELLEZ (4) ran below expectations last time finished last year after jumping awkwardly, being gassed early then tiring late. Much better than that and previous few ratings are good for this. RIVER FROST (3) goes well fresh and off the inside should give a sight. BETTER NOT FUSS (5) might find this trip a little sharp but has the ability and should be winding up late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Like Midnight Hustle fresh. |

Great Northern St Patrick's Day Cup 1600m
Genuine tempo with Altar Boy to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Even race where the Petrick stable has a stranglehold with three leading chances. MATRON SAMSING (5) perhaps has the most upside of these. Easy winner course and distance last time and drops in weight. Building a strong record here and is worth following up. Stablemate MAGIC DEFENSE (2) has slightly better figures but over shorter distances. Yet to win at the mile but comes into this off an effortless 1400m win and won't get a better chance to stretch the form to a mile. The third Patrick runner is PRINCESS PANCAKES (3)who is rarely far away. Placed last time behind Alter Boy but was an easy winner the start prior. Honest record at the mile and will take catching. DUTY (6) is fitter and can improve sharply with the lighter weight. ALTAR BOY (1) has a great record course and distance and can atone. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Matron Samsing. |
