NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:00 FITTED GOLF 2YO MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Many of these youngsters step out for the first time so a strong pace is anticipated. WILD MONARCH (4) two-year-old Wild Ruler gelding out of Homebird on debut for the Jenny Graham yard. Looked strong in his only trial when second over 1006m at Port Macquarie. Maps well and expected to go close. WEOWNACHEVY (3) Winning Rupert gelding from Kitty Cotswold on debut for the Andrew Parramore stable. Has a total of three trials leading into this. Gets his chance in a fairly open contest. WHY WAIT (9) Anders filly from Why're You Waiting on debut for the Matt Dunn stable. Fitted with the two trials and gets every chance from the inside draw. ASHKIRK (1) Ole Kirk gelding out of Hams Al Lail on debut for the Matt Dunn yard. Has looked okay in two trials and place claims best from the wide gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 4,3,9.
2 01:35 RAY WHITE YAMBA BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 2200m
Vermeer should be able to comfortably find the front. NATURE BOY (4) dropped sharply in trip with a disappointing last over 1600m at Scone from the outside draw. Since fitted with a 1000m tick over trial and regular apprentice hops back aboard. Can make rapid improvement over his pet trip. LIBBY (6) fourth-up for this and ready to show her best after running on late to secure sixth over 1600m at Gunnedah. Won over this track and trip last July and expected to go close with Luke Rolls engaged. MR PLUME (1) in career best form with the strong win at Taree two starts back. Got out late with a fast finishing third over 2230m at this track. Backmarker who keeps coming, respect. DIPIERDOMENICO (2) desperate for this trip third-up after returning good figures late to run fifth over 1750m at Muswellbrook. No surprise to see him swoop late to win this. SIR ZINO (9) assess on his sixth two-back over this track and trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 4,6,1,2.
3 02:10 PREFERRED ENERGY BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP 1175m
Expecting Poseidon's Son to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. POSEIDON'S SON (3) starting to hit his straps this campaign with the three impressive on-pace wins in weaker company. Will relish Smyth's 3kg claim from the good gate and undefeated in two starts at this course. Looks too strong again. COUNT NICHOLAS (6) in good order after winning two back at the Gold Coast Poly. Meets Poseidon's Son better at the weights after closing well for a narrow third over 1190m here. Shapes as the main danger. STARZAM (1) proven at this level and strips fitter after he chipped away late on resumption with a plugging fourth over 1048m at this track. No surprise to see him closing strongly. PEONY (2) fourth-up for this and finally drawn a decent barrier. Snagged back from the outside gate with a battling eighth over 1190m at this track. Will race closer to the speed and can add value to the exotics.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Poseidon's Son looks too strong again.
4 02:45 YAMBA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE 1100m
Expecting plenty of speed from Commedia, Egyptian Lass and Not So Dubious from Powerful Dolphins. COMMEDIA (11) comes up from Victoria and now in the Peter Sinclair yard. Given the two searching trials and can shed her Maiden status at start six. LORD OF FLAMES (5) in leading yard and resumes after showing ability in his three career starts last time in. Gelded over the break and primed for this with the two trials. Can roll forward from the draw and take holding out. AMAZIGH TORQUE (10) well bred Castelvecchio filly from the stakes winning dam Moroccan Rose on debut for the Matt Dunn yard. Latest trial at the Gold Coast had merit and ready to run a forward race. LOFTY MACSPORRAN (4) Highland Reel gelding out of Cruz De Vega on debut for the Matt Dunn yard. Hardly set the world alight in two trials and no shock to see him finish in the placings. MUSUMECI (2) resumes for the new stable and stays in the mix after his minor placing at Quirindi last May.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Commedia and Lord Of Flames look too good for these.
5 03:20 YAMBA MITRE 10 SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
Even tempo with Too Hard To Find rolling forward with the absence of a genuine leader. LAUNCHER (2) peaked on his run second-up and looks set to shed his Maiden status today. Closed late in the small field with a handy third over 1350m at Ipswich. Ready for this trip and further now in what looks a very thin contest. SUNVOLT (8) coming along nicely after the two career starts and will appreciate the 1400m here. Wound up nicely from midfield to finish second over 1212m at Coffs Harbour. Genuine top-three player on the firmer surface. KISS'N DANCE (1) returned from a let-up and back in trip with a fast finishing second here. A repeat performance keeps him in the contest. TURPIN'S TORMENT (4) back in trip with a close-up fourth over 1720m at this track. Comes here in peak condition and not to be overlooked dropping back to the 1400m. JENNIBELLE (9) two career starts have been okay and improvement is anticipated over this trip.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Launcher can finish over the top of these.
6 04:00 YAMBA GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB YAMBA CUP BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1600m
Reasonable tempo with Zou Big Boy probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. PIEDI VELOCI (13) just over a month between runs from the awkward barrier with a battling ninth over 1600m at Taree. Blinkers go on from the low draw and shapes as the main danger. ZOU BIG BOY (1) talented gelding on the ten-day back-up who shouldered the 62kg with a fighting third over 1420m at this track. Is more effective over this trip and the claim will help again. BEEARETEE (8) rewarded for his consistency at start eleven with a tough Maiden victory over 1700m here. Tricky map today but hard to ignore winning form. EXPLOSIVE POWER (5) was sound dropping back to the mile at Doomben last start and now finds an easier race. PRESSALONG (6) off two consecutive placings next elect.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 13,1,8.
7 04:35 YAMBA PUMPS & IRRIGATION COUNTRY BOOSTED CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1175m
Expecting a solid pace with Rich Star, Mini Angel and Midwest Princess leading the charge. RICH STAR (1) progressive gelding who bounced off his good first-up second with a sizzling 3.5 len win over 1006m at this track to shed his Maiden tag. Can repeat the dose here from the good barrier. COCO DREAMING (3) winkers go on from the better gate after closing late for a respectable fourth over 1312m at Coffs Harbour. Drops in trip and look to see her race closer to the speed. Top-three contender. REFEREES (2) good type with the three excellent runs on his record. Jumped in grade from the outside gate with a fast finishing second over 1190m at this track. Poorly drawn again and expected to be there at the business end. SIVO (5) yet to place in five career starts at this track. Finally got off the mark at start thirteen with a tough on-pace victory over 1212m at Coffs Harbour. Raymond Spokes sticks and can stalk the fast tempo. MINI ANGEL (6) not that far away of late and should be near her top at her third start for the new yard. Place best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rich Star can go on with it now.
