Just a moderate tempo headed by Zoussential, Double Pi and Ten Warriors. Siding with the sole newcomer in ALIANO (1) who has looked smart at the trials and jump outs, winning all three prior hitouts. He's a gelding by Toronado who came away late to win a recent Cranbourne jump-out. Represents strong connections and gets the returning Blake Shinn aboard. MELBOURNE MAGIC (2) has been very good in two runs to date, placing in both. Tried hard here last time out when beaten just a long neck and with any luck early can break through. TEN WARRIORS (4) was beaten six lengths first up at Cranbourne but the winner there is well above average and just missed as favourite at Flemington on Saturday. Fitter for that and looks a solid chance. ROCK THEM JOOLS (3) resumes for his second campaign having shown ability prior to a spell. Should measure up strongly. SHEEZ ELEGANT (10) can figure on an each-way basis.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Aliano.
2 01:00 MRC Membership Feel The Thrill Handicap 1200m
Strong early tempo with Tango Jewel and Bossy Benita leading the way. Tricky race. BOSSY BENITA (4) is the one with some upside that resumes here having last been seen over 1600m in a good race at Flemington. She's certainly speedy enough to be figuring over this trip and has jumped out well leading in. ENNA'S DREAM (7) has been scratched a couple of times in the past few weeks but looks well placed again if here. Didn't manage a win last time in but largely raced against better opposition and should take beating. THINKING OF GERTY (6) continues to race well, just finding one better at her past four starts. Sets up well from the inside draw and will take catching again. SHE DARESTHE DEVIL (10) has been good in two runs back from a spell and does drop in class for this third-up assignment. Looks a strong chance. TANGO JEWEL (1) maps ideally and looks well placed back in grade.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bossy Benita on top.
3 01:35 Quayclean Handicap 1200m
Expecting Thankful Heart to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. SESSIONS ROAD (8) looks a nice chance off a good return at Flemington, beaten just two lengths by Marble Nine, who has since won again on Saturday. That suggested he was back something like his best having only managed the one run last time in. Now gets Shinn aboard and is well up to winning a race like this. LUNA CAT (2) can mix her form but has the ability to take this out. She's been poor her past couple but has been given a let-up since last start and this looks a nice race for her. THE SHAPER (11) was well supported back in grade at Sandown Hillside last time out and ran okay. Gets in light after the claim here and can atone. Wary of NAVAL ACADEMY (7) who resumes with a promising profile and a good draw.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sessions Road on top.
4 02:10 Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1400m
A solid tempo anticipated with Whateley and Keep Thinking ahead of Allinthetiming and Forest Jim. Very tough, and we're inclined to side with the lightly raced types. TWO WOLVES (5) looked smart winning on debut at Cranbourne over this trip. The margin was only 0.8 lengths but he showed a nice turn of foot from midfield to come away and win well. Tipping he can go on with it. The other at even bigger odds is SURFIN' BIRD (13) who was a tough winner on debut at Moe. No doubt this is a step up but the time there was solid and 1400m should suit even better. Don't underestimate. LEGACY BAY (12) is racing well this time in and brings strong form to this. Fourth to Terilee in a BM70 last time reads well and has her one of the hardest to beat. BOLD STRIKE (6) tried hard after making the pace at Cranbourne last time and should prove hard to catch once more. KEEP THINKING (4) won narrowly on debut at Pakenham and could measure up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Two Wolves & Surfin' Bird.
5 02:45 Sportsbet Feed Handicap 1200m
Sassy Jenni and Brutalina have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. SASSY JENNI (4) stands out here in a winnable BM64. She resumes here having last been seen tackling the G3 Champagne Stakes at Moonee Valley behind top filly Bellatrix Star. Outclassed there, but the first up run at Listed level is strong form for this and she's won a trial leading in. Drawn ideally and looks a nice chance. DIVINE JUSTICE (6) resumes. Her form last time in was rock solid, third to the smart Nostringsattached here before a spell. Drawn the inside for Jamie Melham, she should take some beating. HOME ZONE (10) is a promising sort of a maiden win at Echuca who can measure up. BRUTALINA (3) was $1.80 when winning at BM58 level last time and isn't to be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sassy Jenni to win.
6 03:20 Evergreen Turf Handicap 2100m
Expecting Empress Of The Sun and Shezavixen to press forward and set the tempo. Typically tough staying race. SUN GIFT (8) is racing well without breaking through, just finding one better at her past couple of starts. The run two back was quite good when chasing an all-the-way winner and she tried hard again last time at Geelong. Should take beating again. ZAMBEZI KHAN (2) hasn't quite fired in two runs back from a spell but hasn't been beaten far in either and should be ready to peak now third up. Her best form is up to these. Wary of the progressive EMPRESS OF THE SUN (9) who has won her past two starts, measuring right up in a BM64 last time at Cranbourne to win well. Has plenty of upside and can win again. SHEZAVIXEN (14) was poor when in the market second up but can bounce back while PARVATI PARTY (10) is racing well and an each-way hope.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Sun Gift.
7 03:55 Tile Importer Handicap 2100m
Plenty of speed engaged with Karburan, Nation's Call and Catani Gardens going forward ahead of Station One and Glens Top Cat. Thinner race post-scratchings and they lave TRAPALANDA (11) on top. He was a winner two back at Warwick Farm before a trying third at Sandown Hillside last time out, not far away in a slowly run race. Still open to further improvement and should be right there again. NATION'S CALL (5) turned in a much improved effort last start at Caulfield after battling for form earlier in the campaign. At his best he'd just about win this and Shinn going on is a big positive as well. ELSIE MAY (3) is coming off a solid win in BM70 company last time out, scoring at big odds. She has claims again. DASHWOOD (12) should be at peak fitness now third up and comes through a decent race at Mornington.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Trapalanda to win.
8 04:30 Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap 1600m
A solid tempo on the cards with Blushing Tycoon taking charge. DREAMS COME TRUE (15) gets the nod in the final. She's been very good in two runs back from a spell, winning impressively from last on resumption at Geelong before giving a good horse in Dark Simba too big a start at Sale, charging home into second. Drops in weight for this and draws a nice middle gate. Has plenty of upside and can finish all over the top of these. SHOELESS (14) is racing in fine form of late, placing in his past couple having won two in a row prior. Only needs to hold that form to be going close again. BLUSHING TYCOON (2) is an interesting one at double figures in early betting. Off a let-up here, he perhaps didn't see out the 2080m at Cranbourne 47 days ago but had won well prior at Caulfield Heath and that form gives him a good chance. IGOTCHA (10) has the ability but does need to find her best now off two even runs this time in. BLACK STORM (1) is flying and a good chance once more.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dreams Come True to win.
