1 12:30 TOTE. SPEED. POWER. GLORY. MAIDEN PLATE 1200m
FASCINATION (6) showed improvement in her last start over this course and distance. She showed speed and stayed on well to finish third. The 4kg claiming Apprentice Dezahn Louw retains the ride and she rates well as a leading chance. WATER HYACINTH (3) has produced three decent efforts to date. She received a check leaving the start last time and stayed on well to finish third. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. WHAT A PASSION (9) showed pace over 1100m last time, but found one too good on the day. She is a progressive type and may have more to come. EBISU (7) looked in need of her debut effort over this course and distance. She would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected can finish in the placings.
2 01:05 BET WITH TOTE B STAKES 1000m
MOJO MAN (1) stayed on well when fourth over this distance on the polytrack last time. The 4kg claiming Apprentice Bongani Makhubo is in the saddle and jumping from the inside draw will get a soft trip in the running. Rates well as a leading chance. LADY OF VIX (6) showed good speed when winning her last start over this course and distance. She takes a rise in class but gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Jacey Botes, and she should be well up to the task at hand. MAJOR TOMMIE (3) was in the money last start when third of 10 as the favourite at this track over 1000m and peaks for this. Jumps from an inside draw and has to be respected. KALAHARI ROLLER (4) has been in the market at his last couple of starts since resuming from a spell but hasn't fired, last start running seventh at Greyville All Weather.
