Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. Tough way to start the day with more than half of the field on debut. Siding with the race experience and have MORE THAN HOPE (2) on top. He was OK in an early season 2YO race at metropolitan grade when he showed speed to lead. He's changed stables since and was ridden with a sit in a recent trial. Expect he will be better in his second racing campaign and he looks to have a decent chance here. ANOTHER BRIDE (5) ran well against the older horses in maiden grade last time and looks well placed coming back to a 2YO RACE. She's drawn to get all the favours. PEQUENA GOLD (9) was well beaten at her only start but the winner went on to win a G3. She's looked sharp enough in recent jumpouts and can run a place fresh, albeit she will be better over a tad further. Including NEVERENDS (8) and MISS TORMENTA (7) in wider plays.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing More Than Hope each-way.

Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a solid tempo. Another race full of first starters so tricky for punters to assess. Happy to have something on WHINE FOR WINE (14), who resumes after a lengthy break. She showed ability in one run as a 2YO last season. That was on a soft track and she'll get similar conditions here. She'll improve on whatever she does here but she is capable of winning this fresh. ZARUBINA (8) caught the eye when getting home well first-up. That was on a heavy track, which she'll get again. Expect her to improve and feature in the finish. DRAGON FISH (9) is a first starter and looks the best of six runners for the Dunn and Bishop stable. Consider CELESTORY (4) and TIDDY WIDDY (13) for trifectas and first fours.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Zarubina each-way.

Not much early speed of note and Titan Rising and Empress Of Soul may find themselves setting a steady tempo. Doesn't appear to be a maiden with huge depth. With three placings from her five starts, EMPRESS OF SOUL (11) goes on top. She's first-up and will likely improve over further deeper into the campaign but several of her runs last time are good enough to win this. She's drawn well and she gets the in-form Jacob Opperman. LOS ALAMOSS (8) could be a danger coming back to 1400m. He was solid enough over further in his first run for the stable. He seems to handle heavy going which will be important here. ELITE THUNDER (3) continues to improve with racing and looks a genuine top-three chance on her last run. Worthy mentions to BLUE ISLES (14) and FIERY MOON (6) who can both run cheeky races.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Empress of Soul to win.

Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Moana's Fortune. COORONG TYCOON (8) stepped up in trip and stepped up to the plate with a dominant win last week. That was a modest maiden but this isn't much harder and if he's had a good week, he's capable of going back-to-back. Toeroek sticks and the only concern is a heavy track. One horse that does handle a heavy track is MOANA'S FORTUNE (10) and he has to be considered a major player given the likelihood of a very wet track. His recent form is hard to knock. RETOURNE (5) will find this easier than last start where, although he ran last, he wasn't disgraced behind some smart horses. The Lynch pair of MENACE TO SOBRIETY (4) and AMBITIOUS CREEK (1) aren't noted winners but each of them is capable of running a place.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Moana's Fortune each-way if the track is heavy.

Gopher Frank should find the front with Ze Birds'n'zebees and Smashing Action on his heels. GOPHER FRANK (2) is a lightly-raced sprinter that has been OK in two runs on heavy tracks this campaign. He's only ever won over 900m but from a good draw and with a valuable claim, he gets a great chance to add to his CV here. SMASHING ACTION (9) looks a danger off her recent form. She was a dominant track and distance winner earlier in the campaign and then wasn't far away at Mildura last start. She's right in this. CHARM CATCHER (4) won her only start last campaign and must be respected first-up. She could be above average. LAPILLI (6) and BABAYKA (1) warrant strong consideration on their best form.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Gopher Frank to win.

A solid tempo anticipated with Tanna and Linking ahead of Kublai and Halliwell. Suspect BY THE BOOK (8) is better than what she showed last time. She had excuses there when caught wide. She is drawn better here with a senior jockey on and will be fitter second-up. Happy to maintain the faith and back her each-way. RICHED (2) is a seasoned campaigner who knows how to win. He can mix his form but he was a winner at this track two starts back and can repeat the dose. NOSTRYIA (1) is racing well and put in a huge run from the tail here last start. He will be hitting the line again. Last start winners TANNA (4) and HALLIWELL (6) have their confidence up and must be considered each-way chances again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: By The Book each-way.

The pace looks even at best given a lack of early speed. SHADOW HAWK (10) hasn't won for a long time but he finds the right race to break the drought. He stuck on gamely when sent out at a huge price in a much stronger race last time. Other positives are the draw and his form on heavy tracks. ENCIPHERING (2) looks hardest to beat and his recent form is full of merit. He's fit and enjoying his racing on rain-affected going. He gets in well after the claim as well. FLYING ASSASSIN (1) has been living up to his name, although he struggled on the very heavy track at Morphettville on Saturday. If he backs up, he must go in wider plays. SIR LORD (3) raced on the pace from a wide draw last time over 2100m at Gawler then tired late to finish seventh. Can feature with the right run.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shadow Hawk on a 1x3 basis at the price.

Genuine tempo with the speedy France's Boy leading the way. A modest race to say the least. TYITA (15) has only ever won one race but some of his better form from the end of last preparation would give him a sneaky chance in this. His recent form doesn't look great but banking on some improvement here. Heavy track and kind draw are in his favour. If the emergency VEE ROD (17) can sneak a run, he is worth including. He's a track and distance winner who is better than his recent form suggests. PIWHANE (4) is flying with two wins from her last three starts. Happy to trust a mare in form. If looking for something wider, perhaps include AM I THE DRAMA (9) and COWLEY'S CREEK (11).  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Piwhane each-way.
