KEENELAND SEPTEMBER YEARLING SALE HANDICAP 1600m
Moderate tempo with Rach leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. Competitive. RASP (6) is fourth up and the Victorian-trained galloper was narrowly beaten at Bendigo 17 days ago. Likes it wet, and he was only beaten 3L in Stakes grade at Randwick at his only go over a mile. He's ready for the step-up and should be right in it. JMac is reunited with INDIGO STAR (2), who has set a solid foundation for the longer journey. He's been well supported without luck on the Kensington at his last two, and he should enjoy the run of the race. SLEUTH (10) has been nudged out in two of his last three over this trip and led them up at Gosford last time. Tumbles 6kg and hits this race at peak fitness. Has each-way claims. DOLLARS (8) found close to his best when narrowly beaten at Newcastle over this distance. He will be fitter again, and Morgan replaces the 1.5kg apprentice. The winkers come off, and he is worth considering at a price. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Rasp. |

DRINKWISE PLATE 1100m
Nullarbor Jane and Border Town possess good early speed. THE STARS (6) brought promising form to Newcastle on resumption and just missed backed off the map. She has more up her sleeve, and JMac reunites with the Waller-trained galloper. Strips fitter and has the early speed to clear the awkward barrier. She can make amends. Stablemate KOKATAHI (10) did a good job to just miss on debut and then spiked his figures when beaten 1.5L at Randwick in an Open 2. Comes back 300m on an 18-day return, but he will be further improved and is likely to come hard. The Hawkes stable has switched RATTLE'N'ROLL (4) from its Flemington stable on a 19-day turnaround. He missed a nose at Geelong second-up and will be better for that. Maps for a soft run, and Berry is a key jockey engagement. ENVIABLE (12) was well held in the Magic Night Stakes won by Memo over 1200m at Rosehill at her last appearance four-and-a-half months ago. Big chance in this class. SUGGESTED PLAY: With The Stars. |

MYPLATES HANDICAP 1600m
Heaven Bound has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. BELLA CORAZON (9) spiked her figures when winning a 64 and then missed a nose on the Kensington this grade over 1550m. She maps for the run of the race and a top hoop stays aboard. Fitter again she will be tough to roll. Stablemate AUTUMN DREAM (6) was near her best winning a CL1 by a space at Kembla Grange this trip as a $3.60F. She draws a little better today and may sit closer. Won at her only start here and the in-form Sherry sticks. She looks capable of going on with it. AUDREY'S LANE (3) was backed off the map when winning a 68 at Newcastle and should relish the step up to the mile. She will use the inside barrier and has more to offer. AMERICAN STARLET (8) was quickly back on track beaten 1.5L in the Bella Corazon race. She's fit and will get every chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Bella Corazon. |

2026 INGLIS YEARLING SALES SERIES HANDICAP 1600m
In a race without an obvious leader, either The Years or Pink Shalala can roll them along. Waller-trained TAZIMA (5) is a former UK galloper who just missed on the Kensington first-up over 1400m when expected to need it. He showed plenty when winning big over a middle distance at Redcar prior, and the step up to the mile looks ideal. JMac's booking adds to the confidence. Stablemate PINK SHALALA (4) posted his best number figure placing on the Kensington over 1550m. Keeps the in-form Lloyd and rates to go close. THE YEARS (6) has had interrupted preparations, but he's had two runs under the saddle this time in and is ready to show more. His best efforts are good enough for this. KYEEMA (7) comes out of the same race and didn't have the best of it as an equal favourite. Brought improving form, and a senior hoop goes on. Has claims if he jumps with them. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tazima can win better races. |

TAB HANDICAP 2200m
Fagin, Hovland and Magicon to roll forward and set up a solid tempo. A good contest. HOVLAND (8) won big over 1800m at Hawkesbury as expected, and the money came again at Canterbury following, and he had a luckless run beaten just 1.2L. The step up in trip won't be an issue, but the outside barrier needs managing. The gun hoop is aboard today, assisting in that regard. The blinkers come off and with average luck he'll be hard to hold out. RISE TO IT (2) is up to this and has gone around in tougher company his last two. Maps well and the 2kg claim is handy. Hard fit and gets his chance in this line-up. NAVAL COMMISSION (1) is busting to win and is back in grade with Berry aboard, replacing the apprentice. He deserves another chance. ELLE HUDSON (12) has been in the market at his last couple of starts but hasn't made an impression, last start running sixth at Canterbury. Rates as a place chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Hovland. |

HEADWATER @ VINERY STUD HANDICAP 1000m
Slick pace with Straand Beauty finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged. CASSIEL (1) peaks and just missed the hat-trick last time in stronger at Randwick bet a $3.40F. JMac is a key jockey switch, and the Snowden-trained gelding can bounce straight back. STRAAND BEAUTY (2) is free running and won a 64 comfortably at Gosford as the market predicted. Has the handy 3kg claim and will likely cross over and control the race. He rates to be right in the finish. PRIMA BELLA (8) improved again, easily winning a 64 at Newcastle as favourite and she has upside. Deserves plenty of consideration. BRAVEHEART (4) posted a strong number winning this grade on a Kensington, and he wasn't ridden right out at Canterbury following, pulling up with an issue. Lloyd rides today, and stripping fitter can't be ruled out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Cassiel. |

TRAFFIC WARDEN @ DARLEY HANDICAP 1300m
Solid tempo likely with Cristal Clear, Golden Straand and Dimitrov prominent. The local GOLDEN STRAAND (10) races forward and just missed this grade/trip at Rosehill after belting the Gosford Maidens by 3.3L. Peaks now and the promising Snitzel colt is well-placed to bounce straight back. THE REPLICANT (13) sits at the bottom of the handicap and rates a threat. Brings placing from Canterbury at this level, and he's on the quick back-up. Maps for the run of the race. CODE IN TIME (3) led but didn't close off on the Kensington well-supported and comes back a bit in trip. He will be fitter and keeps the handy 2kg claim. Races well here and his best would have him in the finish. DONWON (9) stepping out at this course for the first time. Last appeared when he finished third over 1200m at Kembla Grange on July 17. Racing well and in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Golden Straand. |
