DUCATO (6) is a three-start maiden who resumed from a spell last start and was beaten 0.9 lengths when fourth over 1800m at Nakayama. Fitter and capable of taking this out. RALPH TESORO (4) has not raced since his debut back on June 30 when he finished ninth over 1800m at Hakodate. Should progress this time and is expected to feature. DESERT SNOW (3) was never in contention on debut last time out over 1600m at Nakayama, finishing eighth and beaten 6 lengths. Likely to improve on that last effort. NISHINO KENTAMAN (1) returns after 11 weeks in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a eighth over 1150m at Fukushima Dirt. Has ability and is worth including.

EDEL KRONE (7) was well fancied on debut last start and was not far off the mark, finishing second and beaten a neck over 1800m at Niigata. Likely improver who is expected to be in the finish. TAISEI RICORDO (2) was unwanted in betting on debut last start but ran a strong race, finishing third and beaten 1.75 lengths over 2000m at Chukyo. Sure to improve and can get off the mark this time. VENT FRAIS (3) turned in a moderate debut over 1800m at Niigata on August 10 when she was safely held in fifth, 7 lengths from the winner. Open to plenty of improvement. Capable of much more this time. LONG TEE KETCHUP (5) didn't do a lot on debut two weeks ago, finishing 9 lengths from the winner in fifth over 2000m at Chukyo. Plenty of scope for improvement. Not to be discounted.

ADMIRE DAYTONA (9) is a two-year-old colt by Drefong out of Ice Pastel on debut for the Y Kato stable. Should hit the ground running. Watch for positive market moves. SCRAPING (12) is a two-year-old colt by Nadal out of Miss Maria stepping out on debut for the Tomohito Ozeki stable. Leading prospect despite a tricky gate. MALIBU ORANGE (5) is on debut. By Vekoma and is out of the Yuichi Fukunaga stable. Lots of winners in the family. Expect a bold run. NEO DIAMANTE (11) is a nicely bred two-year-old colt on debut. By Satono Diamond from Etoile Stage who has a high percentage of winners-to-runners. Promising type who is one to keep a close eye on in betting.

D'S GOLD (10) is on debut for the Y Tamura stable. Two-year-old colt by Leontes from Bonny Gold. Tricky gate but leading rider engaged. Should measure up. SMASH OUT (13) is a two-year-old colt by Saturnalia out of Celebration set to debut for the Toru Kurita stable. Serious contender, particularly if solid in the market. ARPEGGIO (9) is on debut for the K Kozaki stable. Two-year-old colt by Saturnalia from Dernier Realite. Keep a close eye out for a positive market move. KILONOVA (14) is a two-year-old colt on debut by Mikki Isle from the stakes winner Cambina who has been an outstanding producer including winners at black type level. Sure to be competitive despite an awkward draw.

GHARDAIA (15) is a superbly bred two-year-old colt making his first appearance at the races. By Epiphaneia from Asterix who has produced some fine gallopers, including Grade 1 winner Aerolithe. Has the right credentials to make a bright start to his career despite an awkward barrier. HOWLING WIND (7) is a well-related two-year-old colt making his first appearance at the races. By Bricks And Mortar from the former top race mare Contested who has produced some fine gallopers, including Grade 2 winner Gibeon. Promising type who should be about the mark. EPIPHALAND (13) is a two-year-old filly by Epiphaneia out of Lago Blu set to debut for the Koshiro Take stable. Keep an eye on betting moves. CHUJO (14) is on debut. By Admire Mars and comes from the Yoshiaki Sugiyama stable. Pay to watch for any positive betting moves.

NOT FOUND (15) finished second over 1400m at this track at her most recent appearance on May 26. In career best form before a break and leading rider aboard for return. Should be hard to stop. ALLURING TIME (8) was well in commission when resuming last start over 1200m at Niigata Dirt when seventh, beaten 4 lengths. Can atone. UEO MUITE GORAN (3) has not raced since she scored over 1600m at this track on February 11. Best figures read very well. MUFFIN (12) is a handy type who resumes after a break of nine weeks. At her last appearance she finished 14th over 1600m at Niigata, beaten 7 lengths. Backmarker who gets home hard. A big run is expected.

SONIC LINE (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on August 4 finishing seventh and beaten 5 lengths over 1600m at Niigata. Expect him to play a major role. SAKURA TOP REAL (10) is a promising colt yet to miss the frame in two starts, including a win. Is at the races for the first time since he was successful over 1600m at this track on June 8. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expected to be in the finish. LOFTY IDEAL (8) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 14 starts. Was again denied last start when she found a couple better over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Likely contender with strong prospects. SATONO EINS (13) returns from a spell of three months and did win first-up last time in work over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. One of the genuine hopes in the race.

SATOMINO KIRARI (8) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid second at Niigata over 1400m. Will drift back but wind up late. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. NICHOLAUS (5) is having his first run since June 16. Goes very well when fresh - has not been out of the money in three first-up runs and did win over 1400m at this track at the start of last prep. Has ability and should be right in the finish. PLEASURE CRUISE (2) returned from a spell eight weeks ago when she was prominent at the turn before being beaten 4 lengths into tenth over 1400m at Niigata. Ideally placed and is sure to find some form. ROSE FLAIR (3) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a spell then again missed the frame last start over 1400m at Chukyo, beaten 8 lengths into ninth. Nicely placed to find some form.

SATONO CLOAK (6) is back after a break of four months. Looking to emulate his win at Hanshin to kick off the last campaign. Has recorded two wins when first up from a break. Comes here with definite claims. WIDE EMPEROR (5) ran below expectations last time at Chukyo, finishing sixth and beaten 3 lengths starting at $7.30. Worth noting Christophe Lemaire goes aboard. Likely improver with strong prospects. NIGHT IN LONDON (4) was ridden quietly then made a little ground and finished 3.5 lengths away in ninth last time out over 2200m at Chukyo four weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Form here at this trip reads two wins from four starts. Has claims on his best efforts. AME BLANCHE (8) returns from a spell of four months and did win first-up last time in work over 2400m at this track. Top-three claims.

SATONO RUFFIAN (13) is back from a spell of three-and-a-half months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 1400m at this track. Key runner while fresh. PERRIERE (16) grade 3 winner. Resumes in a similar race to his last run five-and-a-half months ago when second, beaten a head. Has recorded four wins when first up from a break. Should be hard to stop. DESIERTO (12) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on July 7 finishing 13th and beaten 12 lengths over 1700m in the G3 Procyon Stakes at Kokura Dirt. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. BAGRADAS (15) comes here off a break of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1400m at this track. Boasts a first-up record of two wins and two placings from six starts. Among the better hopes.

SIXPENCE (11) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing ninth over 2400m in the G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby). Has a very strong record first-up including three wins. Should park just off the speed. Already a winner this grade and expected to be in the finish. Grade 2 winner ROUSHAM PARK (9) returns from a spell of three-and-a-half months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when fifth over 2200m in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen at Kyoto. Returns in easier and should be hard to stop. HO O BISCUITS (2) is first-up since July 14. Has a great record when fresh with three successes from four runs including a win over 1800m at Hakodate at the start of last prep. One of the genuine hopes in the race. DANON AYERS ROCK (7) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on May 26 finishing 14th and beaten 8 lengths over 2400m in the G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) at this track. Lightly raced and has plenty of talent. Among the better hopes.

BOLD ZONE (10) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner when first-up last start over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Goes very well when fresh - has not been out of the money in three first-up runs and did win over 1600m at this track at the start of last prep. Has found a suitable race to kick off the campaign. LEO SPARK (6) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance three-and-a-half months ago over 1600m at this track. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
