TUNG LUNG CHAU HANDICAP 1800m
JOYFUL PROSPERITY (1) never really looked likely over 1800m at Happy Valley last start, disappointing as the $2.60 favourite. He draws a much better gate today and Bowman remaining in the saddle is a big tick. Can shed the maiden tag. FRUITY WARRIOR (4) sat on the speed but found one better over 1800m at Happy Valley last time out. He is 0/6 at Sha Tin, but he still has room for improvement in his ratings and he's expected to put his best foot forward. COLOURFUL BARON (7) was strong on the All Weather track first-up and he's a second-up winner previously. He should get his chance from the draw and with fitness on his side, he'll be hard to hold out. JOYFUL CHAMPION (10) finished just behind Colourful Baron last start and has claims with a good draw and a low weight. |

LAMMA ISLAND HANDICAP 1400m
YOUNG HORIZON (2) gets Zac Purton in the saddle today following a solid fresh effort over 1200m here 18 days ago. He's been back to the trials since then and he drops back into Class 5 today. He's well weighted considering that drop in class and he's expected to return to winning ways. SUPER ELITE (4) tired just 5 days ago when sitting up on the speed throughout over 1200m at this track. Now on the quick turnaround an up in trip for just the second time, though Bowman sticking is a good sign. He's better than we saw last start and is not to be discounted. ISLAND GOLDEN (3) resumed in good order over this course and distance 21 days ago and has the speed to get across from an awkward alley once again. Fitter for that run and he's sure to put his best foot forward. GALLANT GOODY (9) closed off well over 1200m last time out and has claims out to this trip now. |

HIGH WEST HANDICAP 1650m
DRAGON STAR (5) stepped out to 1800m at Happy Valley most recently and drops back in trip today as he comes to the All Weather again. Karis Teetan hops in the saddle now after partnering him first-up. Drawn ideally again today and looks a key runner. LUCKY BANNER (9) showed positive signs first-up when sitting on the speed and beaten just 0.8L at the line. He drops a stack of weight today with the claim of Ellis Wong and he boasts a strong second-up record. Can find the front and prove tough to catch. EXCEL WONGCHOY (6) comes through the same race as Lucky Banner where he finished 1.5L off the winner. He draws a much better gate this time though and won't have to do any work in the run. He'll be poised to strike when heads turn for home. FOREVER FOLKS (8) ran on strongly over the concluding stages last start and he'll be coming home with a wet sail once again. |

MIDDLE BAY HANDICAP 1000m
METRO WARRIOR (1) has been sound without setting the world alight this time in work, finishing 4L off the winner most recently. He now gets a big drop in weight with the claim of Wong and he finds a very weak Class 4 event. Can sit up on the speed and prove tough to run down. BRILLIANT FIRE (3) has trialled well coming into this, particularly his most recent outing at Happy Valley. With the exposed form a bit iffy, this race is ripe for some new blood and he should find a good position from an outside draw down the straight. Can play a role. HAPPY HORSE (10) will be fitter for his return run at Happy Valley recently and comes back to the Sha Tin Straight. His best form rates highly in this field, he just needs to produce it second-up. INVINCIBLE DELIGHT (8) draws ideally for the straight course and won't be far away. |

THE CHINESE RECREATION CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) 1200m
FUN N FUN TOGETHER (5) showed enough first-up over this course and distance when just fading late, beaten 2.3L after racing keenly. Suspect he'll roll forward again, though this does look a suitable race for him with improvement expected. Can work to the front and prove hard to run down. GOLD MASTER (6) was very impressive in his most recent trial at Conghua and the blinkers remain on for race day. He should be able to find a nice spot in the run for Atzeni, who did travel up to Conghua to ride him in a trial on September 5th. Can play a role on debut. LUCKY EIGHT (1) drops back in grade for his season return and his two trials coming in have been superb. Jerry Chau sticks from his most recent outing and he looks to get the run of the race from barrier 3. Live chance on resumption. QINGYUAN STAR (7) has shown enough at the trials and is worth including. |

PAK TAM AU HANDICAP 1400m
SOLID WIN (5) ran on strongly from well back to miss out by 0.5L at this track and trip first-up. He'll be fitter for that effort and while he is likely to get a long way back again, he has plenty of upside and improvement to come. Looks to have found his race today and can shed the maiden tag. PERFECT PEACH (12) rates well off his last start 0.2L defeat here 21 days ago, rising in grade but dropping a massive 8kgs today. Hewitson sticks with the galloper and while he will need some luck from the draw, he's proven versatile in his career thus far. Can be flying late with no weight on his back. GALLANT CROWN (11) led them up last start and faded badly. The Winkers go on for the Blinkers today and he draws well enough to be prominent in the run again. Back to this trip looks ideal and sharp improvement is expected. AEROINVINCIBLE (2) will appreciate getting back to this track and trip and can feature with Purton in the saddle. |

THE FEDERATION OF HK GUANGDONG COMMUNITY TROPHY (HANDICAP) 1000m
FAST NETWORK (7) looks a horse on the rise following a comfortable 1.5L victory over this course and distance on resumption. He's up in grade now, but he's a very progressive type and he draws ideally for the straight course. Purton remains in the saddle and he looks the one to beat again. CHEVAL VALIANT (13) finished 1.5L off Fast Network two back here before winning most recently by 0.3L. He'll carry no weight after the claim of Britney Wong and he meets Fast Network much better at the weights. Will get across in the run and take catching. FLYING HIGH (3) closed off well from the back over this course and distance most recently 21 days ago. Fitter now, though he may need some luck from the alley if similar tactics are adopted. Racing well and is sure to be closing off strongly. CELESTIAL COLOURS (4) wasn't beaten far here 21 days ago and can find himself in the finish again. |

SKY TRUST (5) is building a handy record for himself and will be fitter for two quiet trials coming into this. The Bowman and Fownes combination has been red-hot early this season and this gelding loves this course and distance. Looks a horse on the way up and he can resume on winning terms. RUN RUN TIMING (1) showed promising signs over 1200m first-up when sticking on well to the post. Getting out in trip now looks a smart play and Bentley hops back in the saddle, replacing the apprentice. He should get every chance from the draw and can make his presence felt. SUGAR BALL (2) ran over the top to score impressively first-up over 1200m and steps out in distance again. Purton takes the ride now, though he is 0/5 at this track and trip. Draws well though and can build on the fresh run. ONLY U (6) will get a long way back again but is sure to be rattling home late in the race. |

DIVANO (5) was very impressive in his debut campaign and looks to have trialled sweetly coming into this. Purton hops back in the saddle after partnering him in his most recent trial. The wide draw is sticky, but he's expected to have improved in the break and he resumes in a very winnable event. LADY'S CHOICE (6) disappointed at the end of last season, but he looks to be back in top order judging by his recent trial. He's likely to press on from the alley and make his own luck up front and he has been placed first-up in the past. Can give a bold sight. KING OF DUBAI (8) makes his HK debut today and has looked good at the trials coming into this. Hewitson has been on board all the way through and he sticks with the gelding today/ Can make an immediate impression. MOJAVE DESERT (11) was good from the back first-up and is worth including. |

NAM LONG SHAN HANDICAP 1650m
ADEFILL (5) races well over this course and distance and has a good affinity with Karis Teetan. The gelding has trialled well coming into this, finishing second at his most recent trial on this surface. He'll be back in the run, but with a good pace expected, he can run over the top late. CHILL CHIBI (7) stormed home from a mile back to just miss out by 1.3L at Happy Valley first-up. He now gets Lyle Hewitson in the saddle and it wouldn't surprise to see him try and be a touch closer in the run this time. Has talent and is worth keeping onside. KA YING GENERATION (9) hasn't raced since May where he contested G3 company as a $5.50 chance. Those figures stack up highly here following his 4YO Series campaign as he gets in very lightly today. Will be fitter for a number of trials, and he's bound to go close with Purton in the saddle. CAPITAL DELIGHT (11) steps out to this trip for the first time but has claims if he runs to his best figures. |
