Has scored first-up from a spell before. Has the early speed to cross from out wide. Expected to be in the finish. MEINER DIRECTO (11) finds it hard to win with just one success from 13 starts. CONFERMA (12) is a progressive three-year-old colt who resumes from a break of nine weeks, his last appearance being a win over 2200m at Niigata. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. 9 02:25 SAFFRON SHO 1600m
Terrific race with eight last start winners and one dropping significantly in class. EMBROIDERY (6) returns from the paddock. Was less than a length from the winner in second at Tokyo on debut before showing the benefit of that race experience when an impressive winner over 1800m at Niigata last start. NAMURA CLAIR (5) was well in commission when resuming last start over 1200m in the G3 Keeneland Cup at Sapporo when fifth, beaten 2.25 lengths. Goes up a notch this time but has an excellent record second-up and was a close-up third in this last year. MAMA COCHA (6) was last years winner. Finished second over 1200m in the G2 Centaur Stakes fresh which was a very similar run before winning this 12 month ago. Leading player again.
