NUM TIME COMMENT
1 03:30 Race 1 900m
SOMEI (4) was close to the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 900m at this track, beaten only 1.8 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so could break through. TAKENO TIGER (3) is a six-start maiden who kept chasing when beaten 2.5L into fourth at his latest appearance at this track and trip. This looks a nice race so expect him to be right in the finish. NEKO TANTAN (2) is open to improvement on his third on debut four weeks ago. Handy draw will assist so another bold showing is expected. CAME (1) is a two-year-old filly on debut from the stable of Katsutoshi Teshima. By Came Home from Princely Baton. Good draw a big help. Worth watching for a betting push.
2 04:15 Race 2 1400m
MEISHO OJIMA (2) recorded a strong maiden win when stepping out for the new yard at this track and trip last time, getting there by 5 lengths. Nicely drawn and he looks capable of working through his grades. TAMAMO CARABOSSE (3) showed early speed from an outside draw last time and led for much of the way before fading to finish fourth, beaten 3 lengths, over 1400m at this track. May take catching. KINJITO (7) resumes having shown some decent form last campaign including a win at this track two back. Definite top-three chance. MAHEALANI (1) strips fitter for the resuming run and draws to advantage so can improve.
3 04:55 Race 3 1400m
COSMO VIOLA (1) had been in top form, scoring three consecutive wins before being sent out favourite last time and finishing second over 1300m at this track. Cannot be put aside after one miss. The inside draw can see her return to her winning ways. WIRED (2) was runner up two back then showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before boxing on finish 3 lengths back in fourth. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. TWILIGHT SAGA (3) raced on the pace last start and lifted strongly to hold second, beaten 0.8 lengths over today's journey at this track. Chance to go one better. CROWN FLASH (4) owns a decent record at this course and distance. Worth plenty of thought fresh.
4 05:30 Race 4 1400m
MAJOR TESORO (2) enjoyed the drop in grade from JRA level when scored at this track last time out with 4 lengths to spare over today's journey. Has started three times at this course and is yet to taste defeat. Draws well and can maintain that perfect record. SAMMARU MIND (7) scored at her most recent appearance, getting home by 3 lengths over 1400m at this track as favourite. That continued the very strong form this campaign, with two wins and a second from three runs. Can measure up again. MAR AZUL (6) has switched yards and is much better placed having previously raced on the JRA circuit. Comes here with definite claims. DANON BULLSEYE (1) lines up for the first time since he placed July. Started the last campaign well when in the placings over 1400m at Sonoda. Among the hopes.
5 06:05 Race 5 1860m
TWO LURY (8) lines up for the first time since June 30 when runner up at this track where he owns a string record. Looking to emulate his win at this venue when fresh last prep. Rates highly and should take some beating. GRIND OUT (9) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Scored over 1800m at this track at the start of last prep. Has ability and should be right in the finish. RHEIN FORTE (12) was successful last start over 1800m at this track, getting home by 3 lengths to make it six wins in a row. Stepping up a level this time but on current form he is one of the key runners. KASHINO LUCAS (11) scored two back then was good again when third last time out. Worth plenty of thought.
6 06:40 Race 6 1400m
T O LA TOUR (2) was racing well last campaign including a win at this track and distance at her last outing six months ago. Has found the frame in all of three starts here. Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. MEISHO INASE (8) scored two back then stuck on well last start to finish third over 1750m at this track after showing good early speed. Manato Hida gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Bright prospects. HAPPY ARROW (1) showed good early speed at this track last time and trio and went on to salute by 1.5 lengths. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. Likely to be competitive. LOVE HIKARI (3) ran below expectations last time when fifth but placed two back. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
7 07:10 Race 7 1400m
LONGING MAMA (5) showed good pace to lead at this course and distance last time and kept going strongly to score by 2 lengths. Draws wider but has the early pace to get across so has strong prospects. WINNING THE SOUL (3) opened this prep last start with a second over 1300m at this track. Likely to improve with that run under the belt so could prove tough to beat. JUSTICE BOSS (8) got a long way back last start when midfield and had put together a string of top-four finishes before that. Best figures measure up nicely. Likely to run well. SHOW ME THE MONEY (6) was well found in the betting last time out but could only manage to finish eighth. Placed three back so can do better.
8 07:40 Race 8 1400m
T M BOBBY DAN (5) led and kept going for a good win here two back then performed well again when third last start over this distance, beaten 2.2 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can return to winning ways. MEISHO FELIO (7) was a gutsy winner two runs back then finished second over 900m at this track last time, adding to a long string of top-two finishes. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Big chance. PUA LANI (6) was impressive last time at this track, scoring by 3 lengths over this trip. Has a good record here at this journey with three wins and five minor placings from 10 starts. Should be involved in the finish. ROSSO (10) is building in fitness so may be ready to show more.
9 08:10 Race 9 1750m
CROSS THE RUBICON (11) has been racing on the JRA circuit, last time at Sapporo Dirt when beaten 8 lengths but she was very good when placed two back at Hakodate. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including five wins. Contender. COSMO POPOLARITA (2) turned in a fine effort to win by 2 lengths at today's track and distance last start. Chance to get the job done again.
