The race pace looks modest and may well be messy at times as several here are not clean jumpers at all. SWEET TABOO (2) he can win this Maiden Hurdle too even though a 1000m less from a last start Maiden Steeplechase success. No wet track issues. He is the lone in form runner in this field too so should have no major issues. KID WARRIOR (5) has been placed in both his starts here. Wet tracker. Top tier threat in this weak opening field for certain. RAKANUI (7) he has run fifth in both his Hurdle runs. Trifecta and first four chance for sure in this field. RED NED (4) has been not too bad at all this time in. Place and first four chance. UNCLE CHARLIE (3) can get fourth at best but many here are way better wagering options for sure. The race pace looks not too bad in this Maiden Hurdle though several in this are not the cleanest leapers. YOLO (8) she is having her jumps debut here. Sure to be ready as in a very astute yard. One to beat without a doubt. ZEEFA ZED (1) he has been consistent for ages albeit distant at times. Quinella and trifecta must here as usual. MR FABULOUS (2) he is a multiple class dropper in this after being outclassed last start in a Prestige Open Hurdle (4200m). Has been twice placed here. Chance for sure. HILL OF KINGS (4) he is on his Hurdle debut here. Sure to have been well-schooled and the tote will be very telling. Trifecta and first four chance. The race pace here looks decent and the pressure will be applied a long way out to see if it forces mistakes. DICTATION (2) his only top two miss as a Hurdler came when sure to win at Riccarton in the Sydenham Hurdle (3200m) and defeat the hotpot Berry The Cash but he fell at the last fence. Huge chance in this without question. INVISIBLE SPIRIT (1) fell at last start in a Prestige Opn Hdl (4200m). Course proven. Too consistent overall to omit from any of your multiples here. OBRIGADO (4) is a triple track winner on the track. Dual winner as a Hurdler. Place and first four hope. DUKE OF PLUMPTON (5) one of three tellingly in this field from the same yard. Place or first four chance at best. JUSTICE (6) he has taken to Hurdling rather well. Toughest test to date. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dictation is a win wager. |

This is not a very strong Maiden Steeplechase field and many are suspect leapers too. CATCH AND RELEASE (2) won his Maiden here on the flat. In form jumper. He looks the winner here in not a very strong field at all. PONTARDAWE (1) when and if he stays upright or keeps his rider atop is a good chance here. Handles it dry and wet. Hold your breath job. Definite chance in this line up. LEITRIM LAD (8) last start took a tumble in an Opn Hdl (3000m) at this track. Is having his Steeplechase debut here. Not out of this at all. ZAC FLASH (9) he can show more this time and actually complete the course. BROTHER MAX (5) he has run well enough in one of his four Steeplechase runs. First four at best. Too many here overall are better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Catch And Release and Pontardawe are win wagers. |

The race pace looks okay for the last 800m or so depending on how some of these have jumped prior to well into the last lap. JAKAMA KRYSTAL (6) is a course proven runner. A 3kg claim in this will help her no end too. She looks the winner here on wet ground. LOCHWINNOCH (4) he has had four runs here for two wins. Winning rider atop. Several key betting boxes get ticked today importantly. DAL KILCHOAN (1) won well enough here at his last start. Old timer but still a place and first four chance in a field like this. CALL ME JACK (2) has had seven runs here and yet to pay a dividend alarmingly. Easier depth this time. Give one more chance.
