1 01:00 STRIDYL | AUSTRALIAN TURF CLUB FOUNDATION COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE MAIDEN PLATE 1000m
Pattera will go fast but there are few first starters lining up who could keep him honest. Tough race to kick off with the bulk of the field on debut. PATTERA (15) has race fitness and experience on his side third up and gets his chance from the inside gate. Collared late when a solid on pace second over 900m at Wellington on September 2. No excuses today. PLATINUM WARRIOR (17) returns from a spell of six months and trained on the track. Disappointed when seventh over 1300m at Moree on April 2. Has placed over this trip and finds a fairly weak race. TAORMINA SAILOR (1) resumes after finishing runner up at his last two outings. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and can run into the minor money. ANGIE'S SISTER (12) is a Winning Rupert filly out of Skullas Sister on debut for the Brett Robb yard. Trained on the track and her recent trial had merit. Gets her chance from the good gate.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pattera each way.
2 01:35 TOMMY TOYOTA SHOWCASE SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP 1400m
Although a few sit handy there won't be a great deal of early pressure. AHELLBENDA (6) fitter after two encouraging runs in stronger company and expected to go close here. Warmed up late from well back when fourth over 1100m at Hawkesbury on September 12. Can race closer over the extra trip and prove hard to hold out. MAD HARRY (2) returned with an eye catching second over 1200m at Tamworth on September 16. On the quick back up and has solid top three prospects. THE IMPECKABLE (1) trained on the track and made a sound return when running on late to finish a narrow second over 1200m at Bathurst on September 15. Can go on with the job now. FIRESTORM BOY (15) former Victorian trained gelding having his first start for the Gary Lunn yard. Fourth up here and look for him late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Ahellbenda to win.
3 02:10 MARTIN COLLINS AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 2200m
Looking to Borlotti, Zounile and No Second Thoughts as likely leaders in a keen contest early. AVONVIEW (5) stretched out in trip for the first time when a solid win at Canberra, before jumping in class when a plugging seventh over 2000m at Hawkesbury on September 12. Finds his race today and should have little trouble getting the 2200m. NO SECOND THOUGHTS (6) up sharply in trip when a dominant 1.75 len on pace winner over 1800m at Bathurst on September 15. Won with plenty in hand at latest and can go on with the job again. FINAL COMMENT (3) comes out of a strong race after being nailed late when a head second over 2000m at Hawkesbury on September 12. This is much easier and look for him hitting the line strongly. ZOUNILE (4) racing in career best form and has an excellent record at this track. Rolled along in front and edged out late when second over 1600m at Narromine Bm58 on September 23. Brings the right figures to figure prominently.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 5,6,3,4.
4 02:45 TOYOTA TUNDRA BENCHMARK 58 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1300m
Abundant early pace from the speedy Avalicious. ADELSUN (8) handy mare who returned in good order with a fast finishing head win over 1300m at Orange on September 7. Drops in weight and can race a little closer from the good gate. BROADWAY FOLLIES (12) created a big impression on debut when a slick winner over 1200m at Bathurst two weeks ago. Maps to get the right run and expected to go close again. SHAQUILA (4) has fitness on his side and will prove hard to run down today. Had to work hard early from the draw when a gritty head second over 1200m at Bathurst on September 16. No shock to see him go one better. TALLAWAH (6) former Victorian trained gelding now in the Brett Robb yard. Wound up late on resumption when fifth over 1212m at Benalla on September 3. Must be kept safe here.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 8,12,4,6.
5 03:20 ALL-NEW TOYOTA LANDCRUISER PRADO CLASS 1 SHOWCASE HANDICAP 1300m
Parnassus is the likely leader from a wide gate. BUSH TELEGRAPH (1) progressive mare who resumes from a six month spell. Raced with distinction in strong company last time in and since fitted with the two searching trials. Looks a strong chance. CAN DO CANTO (19) lightly raced mare set to peak third up in this easier contest. Stuck on well when a tough fourth over 1300m at Hawkesbury on September 7. Handles all conditions and ready to win. MRS BULL (11) first-up after four months she rattled late when an unlucky fifth over 1100m at Bathurst on September 15. Maps to get the right run and will relish the extra distance. ROTHGATE (5) won third-up under a big weight and while up in grade could go on with it.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Bush Telegraph to strike fresh.
6 03:55 XXXX GOLD VINCENT GORDON FLYING HANDICAP 1100m
Fast pace assured with Castlebar Road and Raging Rush leading the charge. CUSTO (3) led to the turn before fading to finish last over 1000m at Randwick Kensington on September 11. Blinkers come off and he has an excellent record over this track and trip. LONHRO'S QUEEN (15) smart mare returning from a let up who's won four of her last five starts. Scored a commanding victory over 1200m at Rosehill in Highway grade on August 3. Kept ticking over with two trials and expected to play a leading role. OPITO BALLERINA (13) another of the Bjorn Baker runners with upside. Drifted back from the inside draw before pouncing late with a nose victory over 1200m at Kembla Grange on September 14. Bumps into some handy types and will appreciate the drop in weight. GALLANT STAR (2) is two from two here and hasn't missed a place either fresh or at the distance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,15,13,2.
7 04:35 DUBBO CITY & GILGANDRA TOYOTA *BIG DANCE ELIGIBILITY * DUBBO GOLD CUP 1600m
Pressure on from word go with High Dandy, Thunderlips and Osman handlebars down ahead of Aimpoint and Touch Of Navy. Multiple Group 2 placegetter VIVY AIR (7) has a sense of timing fourth up. Went back early from the wide draw before powering late when a close up fourth over 1500m at Rosehill in Bm78 company on September 14. Drops in weight and has the ability to finish over the top of these with the tongue tie added. THUNDERLIPS (6) fourth up for this and finally drawn a decent gate. Had to work hard from a wide gate when a fighting third over 1400m at Randwick on September 21. Maps to get the right run and expected to get the trip. HIGH DANDY (11) progressive entire who won two straight before jumping in class from the wide gate when seventh over 1500m at Rosehill on September 14. Drawn out again and place prospects best. HOLLYWOOD HERO (3) two runs back have been encouraging with the big weights and stretches out to his right trip today. Can race closer from the good draw and looks good value.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 7,6,11,3.
8 05:15 ARROWFIELD COUNTRY MAGIC CLASS 2 SHOWCASE PLATE 1100m
Strong early tempo with Kora Magic and Dont Call Me Honey leading the way. SHIPSHAPE (6) resumes after tiring late in the heavy conditions when eighth over 1500m at Rosehill in Highway grade on June 1. Drawn out and has the ability to sprint well fresh. ZEQUEL (8) returned to form after showing good early speed when a 2.5 len winner over 1000m at Wellington on September 2. This is tougher but he looks up to the task. Both runs of DONT CALL ME HONEY (2) this campaign have been at Randwick including a fresh fourth. Blinkers go on first time. CRIMSON BONNET (9) won her lone third-up attempt and looks ready to peak off back-to-back placings.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Shipshape each way.
