NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:52 BARCALDINE REGIONAL COUNCIL Maiden Plate 1300m
Cracking pace early with Worthy's Girl, Sunfyre and Disrupt leading the charge. DISRUPT (5) has switched from Canberra's premier yard on a 51-day return. Has pieces of form that would win this and should be presented on song. DANGEREUSE (4) was nudged out last time and will be better for it. May need a touch longer now but his best is good enough. MY COUNTY (7) made good improvement at Townsville and is a hope building on that. SIRENE (3) has a handy 2kg claim and the blinkers on again. May be best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: With Disrupt.
2 01:27 FERNHILL GRAZING Class 6 Plate 1000m
Speed should be right on over the 1000m journey. THE HANGER CAT (1) peaks and delivered the hat-trick by 6L. Has a handy 2kg claim today and can go on with it. FLANK SPEED (3) resumes and goes well on the fresh side. Her best is good enough and she should go close. SHARWIN (6) resumes again and may have had issues. She brought strong Victorian form to Queensland and anywhere near her best would be a live chance. JUKEBOX LUCY (5) will use the rail and has been racing well in easier. Tumbles in weight and can't be ruled out.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to The Hanger Cat.
3 02:04 CAPRICORN PLUMBING & BUILDING SUPPLIES BENCHMARK 50 Handicap 1000m
Chief Mondo has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. SHEZAJUKE (5) missed the hat-trick off a wide gate here a month ago. Draws better and keeps a 3kg claim. She can bounce back. ISSHEGREY (3) peaks and missed a whisker at Emerald last time. Is back in grade with a 2kg claim and always puts in. DEEP MYSTIQUE (2) has switched from a sharp Gold Coast barn on a 44-day return. Lands with Button and Butler is a key jockey booking. Keep very safe. CHIEF MONDO (6) maps well and would be around the mark at best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shezajuke.
4 02:42 BARCALDINE WELDING WORKS BENCHMARK 45 Handicap 1300m
Loads of early pressure, primarily from Rosettes, Valiant Joan and Badge. Tricky. HOT ROD JACK (8) just missed here and then improved again winning the CLB. Keeps the handy claim and with average luck in the run can repeat the dose. COCO CUBER (6) was tracking well before disappointing last time. The shorter sprint should suit and Butler is a key jockey booking. Worth another chance. BADGE (2) spiked his figures winning the 50 comfortably. Has a wide gate but is in the mix. ELECTRIC SPIRIT (5) was plain in the same contest but won the 55 here prior first-up and is a chance to bounce with the 2kg claimer going on.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Hot Rod Jack in a difficult race.
5 03:17 WESTERN FREIGHT LINK QTIS Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Fair pace expected with Daulat Machtigkuda and Entrepreneurial heading the charge. Tough. ENTREPRENEURIAL (2) runs along and has been narrowly beaten his last two at this level. Darws low and keeps the handy 2kg claim. Should go close. INSPIRATION (5) resumes and has switched from a Brisbane barn. She has some nice pieces of form in stronger and has won fresh. The blinkers are on again and expect a bold run. INATICK (6) had been tracking well before fading at Dalby in stronger. Didn't have the best of it and is worth another chance. INVICTUS LAD (3) has been within range his last two and has been freshened. A hope with average luck from an awkward barrier.  SUGGESTED PLAY: leaning to Entrepreneurial.
6 03:52 BARCALDINE LEADING APPLICANCES OPEN Handicap 1200m
Lots of speed predominantly from New York World, Haralben and Heyington Station. Competitive. REAL KEY (3) belted the Open graders at Thangool by 5.3L and won an Open at Emerald prior. Uses the low barrier and a 2x winning rider is reunited. The hat-trick beckons. HARALBEN (1) was plain at Alpha last time but went back-to-back prior and he's won 2/2 this track. Just has to see out the longer sprint. HEYINGTON STATION (5) rates well off the Longreach win and the 3kg claim brings him into it. LILY ALLEZ (8) handy galloper back in winning form last start over 1200m at Alpha. Has confidence back and can sneak into the finish again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Going with Real Key.
7 04:27 GBA CONSULTING ENGINEERS BENCHMARK 60 Handicap 1600m
From their good gates Tiger For Life, Flop Turn River and Proud With Pride will likely vie for the lead in a keen early contest. PROUD WITH PRIDE (4) has won two of her last three and it was comfortable last time over 1700m. The 2kg claim remains handy and she flies this course and trip. She can repeat the dose. HERE HE LOOMS (5) comes out of the same race beaten 2.6L. His effort here prior stacks up and drawn inside he gets another chance. RED VICAR (11) has been racing in stronger company. Needs some luck but his best would be good enough. PREFERRAL (8) won a 65 comfortably and maps well. In the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Proud With Pride to repeat the dose in the last.
