NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:25 EXCEEDANCE @ VINERY STUD HANDICAP 1100m
Anticipating a stack of early pressure with many of these youngsters facing the starter for the first time. Plenty of unraced runners from big stables lining up but the race experience of WINNING PROPOSAL (1) should prove invaluable. Resumed over 1000m at Wyong last start where she worked home well to grab second. Finished just 1.5 lengths away in the Inglis Millenium second-up last prep. Big chance with Nash going aboard. VANESSI (12) settled just off the pace and was even through the line on debut last time out over this course and distance. Drops 1.5kgs under today's scale and will be better for that run. Must be considered. BACK IN A TIK (3) dominated over 1200m at Nowra recently. Up in class but heading the right way and is worth a look at decent odds. DEEP JOY (2) last appeared when midfield in the Inglis Nursery in December. Two recent trials should have her ready to run well. RED ENVELOPE (7) on debut for Waterhouse/Bott warrants close attention after a strong recent Randwick trial.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Winning Proposal.
2 01:00 VALE DAVID MILLS HANDICAP 1100m
Always plenty of early pressure in races like this with a large number of first starters lining up. BUCKINGHAM PALACE (1) raced handy and found plenty under pressure to finish second on debut last start over this distance at Randwick. Should derive great benefit from that experience and back at the midweekers he looks the one to beat. SCORCHING LEGEND (10) led but was swamped late to just miss the placings on debut last time out over 1150m at the Kensington track. Sure to give them something to catch. TARPAULIN (11) has not raced since finishing fourth to the smart Straight Charge on debut over this trip at Randwick in December. Trialling well for Godolphin and the engagement of McDonald is significant. MAWJOOD (12) is back from a four-month lay-off. Didn't fire at his only run to date but is trialling brilliantly since being gelded. Big market watch. Recent trial winner KING OF DRAGONS (8) is one to keep tabs on at his first race start.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Buckingham Palace on top in an interesting maiden.
3 01:35 DRINKWISE PLATE 1100m
Solid tempo expected primarily from Love And Light and Te Pani. LOVE AND LIGHT (8) is a talented filly from the Waterhouse/Bott stable resuming. Has endured a disjointed career to date, racing just once last prep and missing the frame over this course and distance. Trialling in great style and looks set for a big campaign. DETENDU (2) returned from a spell a fortnight ago and registered his fourth minor placings from as many career runs when third over 1150m at the Kensington track. Genuine gelding who will race handy and give a bold sight again. GRAM (13) finished third on debut last start at Newcastle and it's hard to know how much improvement he can make on that effort. Worth consideration. SNUBA (10) started favourite on debut last start but struggled over 1300m on a heavy surface here. Trialled well since and is worth another chance coming back in trip. Market watch on DUMEBI (3) first-up since May 2023 for Ciaron Maher.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Love And Light.
4 02:10 TAB HANDICAP 1300m
Cracking early tempo with Drift Net and Let Me Reign leading the way. Godolphin's SETOMBE (13) is lightly raced and continues to improve. Came from a mile back to be beaten a neck here a fortnight ago, finishing just ahead of Llanddwyn. McDonald has made the switch which cannot be ignored. Big chance out to this trip. LULUMON (6) holding her form well and returned good figures at the latest when scoring over 1300m at Hawkesbury on May 30. Looks up to the rise in grade. DRIFT NET (16) returns from a 33-day let-up. Got off the mark at start nine when a dominant 4 len win as fav over 1343m at Geelong on May 24. Since fitted with a recent trial and the scratchings make her job that little easier. Can sneak into the minor money. RIVA D'AMOR (17) resumes here and trained on the track. Ran on late when a gritty second over 1250m at Canterbury on February 9. Fitted with two trials and looks good each-way value.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Setombe to win.
5 02:45 GOLDEN MILE @ DARLEY HANDICAP 1600m
Danish Prince has good gate speed and can overcome the wide alley to lead. ELSIE MAY (8) appreciated the step up in distance when a dominant winner last start over 1550m at Canterbury. Open to further improvement at the third run back from a spell and can win again in a similar race. ALLHALLOWTIDE (10) was ridden more aggressively but couldn't finish off last time out over 1900m at Canterbury. Both his wins have come at this trip. Nicely placed to bounce back to form. SPACE AGE (4) has been safely held at both runs since crossing from Ireland. Strips fitter and will be more at home over the mile. No surprise to see him strike some form. PRESSER (2) defeated Sailor at Canterbury two back then didn't handle the class rise at Rosehill last time. Has his share of weight but back in this grade he is worth some thought. Distance specialist SAILOR (3) is racing well and is a solid top-four chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Elsie May to salute again.
6 03:20 HYLAND RACE COLOURS HANDICAP 1300m
Lots of speed predominantly from Kerguelen. Progressive three-year-old NEED SOME LUCK (6) made short work of his BM72 rivals over 1250m at Canterbury last start when second-up from a spell. Getting up in the weights but he keeps improving and can get the job done again. ACCREDITED (8) travelled with Need Some Luck into the straight last time but was no match late. Enjoys a 2kgs weight swing today and he saves his best for the Farm so expect the gap to narrow. KERGUELEN (11) created a huge impression on debut 39 days ago over 1200m at Kembla, winning by 9.5 lengths. Doubt the quality of the field and it was on a very heavy track but to the eye he looks well above average. REBEL SHADOW (9) hasn't been far away all prep. Gets in well with the claim and looks a sound each-way prospect.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Need Some Luck.
7 03:55 THE AGENCY CIVIC STAKES 1400m
Plenty of pace with Tamerlane and Rise Of The Masses all pushing forward from their low draws. Listed race deferred from last Saturday. RISE OF THE MASSES (15) dead heated with the in-form Fall For Cindy first-up over this distance at Hawkesbury then pulled up quickly over a mile at Randwick last time in a run worth forgiving. Trialled well since and back to this trip off a 32-day let-up can make amends. STRAIT ACER (4) is Group One placed at this distance. Made late ground without threatening in the Group 3 BRC Sprint over 1350m at Doomben last time. Struggling to find his peak this prep but the addition of blinkers today might add some spark. DIAMOND DIESEL (12) is up in grade but couldn't have been more impressive last start when successful over this journey at Randwick. Worth an each-way investment. GRAVINA (9) is cherry ripe and drops sharply in the weights so don't write him off.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Rise Of The Masses each-way.
8 04:30 MAURICE AT ARROWFIELD HANDICAP 1100m
Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Dipsy Doodle. The in-form ONE DESTINY (11) scored here at this trip two runs back then battled on gamely for second in Saturday company at Rosehill 11 days ago, again at 1100m. Nicely in with the claim and looks the toughest to beat in an open affair. SEPTIME (19) returned after almost a year away from racing with an encouraging second over 1000m at Goulburn on 3 June. Drops sharply in the weights and with a bit of improvement can play a big role. REBEL DEAN (13) flew late but just missed when resuming over 1000m at the Kensington track recently. Expect he will hold that form. DIVINE VICKY (14) is racing well at the provincials this time in work and deserves a crack in town.  SUGGESTED PLAY: One Destiny each-way in a tough race to close.
