NUM TIME COMMENT
1 11:50 Contract Engineering Maiden Plate 1100m
Solid tempo with Astromancer possessing the dash to work to the lead. MAZOVIA (7) is a nicely bred filly by sire Impending from the stakes-winning mare Mazurek. Found the line nicely in fourth at Murray Bridge in most recent trial with today's rider Todd Pannell aboard. Looks set for a bright start to her career. SUMAMBISTARR (9) only missed narrowly on debut at Balaklava. Less effective last start but should be nearing her peak at her third attempt. Warrants serious consideration. LADY LUPARA (6) battled on soundly into a midfield finish on debut at Morphettville Parks. The form out of the race has stuck up solidly and she should be further improved. ASTROMANCER (1) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Mazovia on debut.
2 12:20 Sportsbet Fast Form Maiden Plate 1100m
A solid tempo on the cards with Oneofthesenights taking charge. MAHI MAHI (6) finds the maiden win elusive but has turned in some good efforts without saluting. Rates highly on best efforts and gets a key jockey booking in Holder from a favourable low draw. Ready to land the major blow. MACADI MISS (3) is a four-year-old Ambidexter mare stepping out on debut for the Lesnikowski & Hannemann partnership. Strips fitter for a stylish trial win and is drawn to advantage. Can make an immediate impact. ONEOFTHESENIGHTS (7) wasn't far away when resuming at Murray Bridge but has struggled to go on with it since. Capable of a sharp bounce back and is worth keeping safe. The resuming TAMERICA (9) looks best of the rest.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Mahi Mahi each-way.
3 12:55 LJ Hooker Gawler | Barossa Maiden Plate 1100m
Plenty of early pressure primarily from Reel Whiskey, Mr Jones and Hebrings Cash. REEL WHISKEY (9) is ready to make his return for the R & C Jolly camp. Has shown plenty of positive signs in his first seven starts, despite not yet striking through. Trial in was handy enough to suggest he's ready to get on the board. TOP SHOGUNN (4) is a gelding by Anglia making his first appearance. Looks forward enough following a trial win with Rochelle Milnes aboard. Among the leading chances. BOLTONOVA (5) is another that steps out on debut. Is yet to be seen at any public showings but the booking of Tourneur intrigues. Will pay to monitor any market moves. Smaller cases can be made for the resuming HEBRINGS CASH (6) and MR JONES (2).  SUGGESTED PLAY: Reel Whiskey to win.
4 01:30 Adelaide Plains Bloodstock Maiden Plate 1516m
Plenty of runners but the field lacks a pacemaker so a dawdling affair is on the cards. THINKINGNINTYNINE (7) has returned in good form this campaign and has built nicely into this to play a major role. Only just missed last start at Balaklava and the rise in trip should suit on the short turnaround. Leading player. MAXILDO (6) showed improvement in his second start when battling on into fourth at Balaklava three weeks ago. Can take another step in the right direction this time and is worth including. MANDINO (2) returns for the Phillip Stokes team. Will be looking for further the deeper he goes into the prep but this looks a good kick-off for him. Watch for him doing his best work late. SUPER INTELLIGENT (12) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Thinkingnintynine the one to beat.
5 02:05 Wolf Blass Rascals Cup Class One Plate 2121m
Decent pace on the cards from Holmes and Whisky Sour who like to get rolling early. HOLMES (2) had finished inside the frame in his previous eight starts before only managing a midfield finish at Murray Bridge last time out. The form out of the race has stuck up nicely in 32 days with a couple of subsequent winners and stack of placegetters. Was a winner here only in the prep and is drawn to advantage. The one to beat. HAYAI MESU (6) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts. Carries more weight this time dropping back in grade and is among the main chances on best efforts. Don't take lightly. WHISKY SOUR (9) has been beaten narrowly in his last two. Yet to get off the mark but is capable of playing a major role. MILITARY PRESS (4) drove hard to shed his maiden tag over the track and trip last start. Will take confidence from that win and is worth including.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Holmes to win.
6 02:40 Gawler Arms Hotel Rating 0 - 56 Handicap 1719m
Early speed assured from Salute The Stars, Weekend Warrior and Bella Kathleen locking horns ahead of Ovabent. FLIGHT DECK (3) bounced back sharply here last start when beaten narrowly over this trip. Wide alley to overcome but only needs to hold his form to be very competitive. ROCKBARTON ROAD (10) is knocking on the door. Drops back in trip on the short turnaround and gets in light at the weights with the 3kg claimer piloting. Serious contender this time. SALUTE THE STARS (4) wasn't too far away here at the latest. Good effort last time out and a similar one will have him featuring again. Just has to hold his form. COVERT WITNESS (7) has struggled to threaten in her last two against stronger opposition but is much better placed this time. Can bounce back sharply and takes benefit from Holder piloting. Don't take lightly.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Flight Deck.
7 03:15 Wolf Blass Wine Museum Class Two Handicap 1516m
Good early pressure for top spot with Sir Randolph or Fior The Tiger likely to take up the running. WINE BARRON (2) was well supported when resuming here last month but could only manage fourth. Kept fresh for this but has stayed in work with a nice tick-over trial here in-between starts. Electing to go with a senior rider in Pannell instead of a claimer shows the stable's confidence. Bold showing anticipated. BELMONT AVENUE (3) has put the writing on the wall in his last two. Is another that comes in on the fresh side but did go back to the trials to keep the legs ticking over. Main danger. SIR RANDOLPH (1) returns and makes his stable debut for Andrew Clarken. Has shown good ability in his first two preps and is right in the mix. BOLTED IN (5) has been out of the winner's circle for over year but is far from hopeless. Don't dismiss.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Wine Barron to win.
8 03:50 Sportsbet Bet With Mates Class Two Handicap 1516m
Moderate pace only with It's Dan The Man leading Chambers Bay. ESKY (1) made light work of his rivals last start at Strathalbyn when scoring with a fair bit up his sleeve. Open to further improvement at this stage of the prep and can repeat the dose. CHAMBERS BAY (2) was far from his best last start on the Parks track when finishing rearward. Was ticking along much better prior and a return to form will see him feature. OUR DIVINYL (8) is going much better than his form suggests. Has savaged the line in all three starts this campaign and should now appreciate the rise in trip. Holder sticking is another positive. Take seriously. IT'S DAN THE MAN (3) wasn't far away fresh when closing off nicely into the frame. Only a lightly-raced type that can make his presence felt.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Esky the one to beat.
9 04:25 Wolf Blass Adelaide Hills Wine Bar Hahndorf Benchmark 56 Handicap 1200m
Fast early pace with Kaeslerkruzen showing out and Jamaican Gold crossing to apply some pressure. GLOBAL TURN (9) returns for the smart Stokes stable. Showed positive signs in her debut prep and strips fitter for Murray Bridge trial placing. Bold sowing anticipated. EXTRA HOT (12) only missed narrowly when resuming here last start. Is sure to have come on with that run under the belt but will need a smart steer from an ugly draw. Watch for doing her best work late. DAMAGED (1) knuckled down strongly to get the verdict in nice style last start at Balaklava. Claimer goes on to aid at the weights. Deserves plenty of thought. COPPERFIELD (2) was far from his best last start on the Parks track when solid in the market. Rates highly on best figures and should be considered. UNDERCOVER AGENT (8) next best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Global Turn return a winner.
