She lost a length leaving the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race to finish fourth was encouraging. She will strip much fitter horse today and should like the extra distance on offer. In this field, she may find herself in the winner's enclosure. QONDANEKUKHANYENI (4) has been in need of her first three career outings. She should love the rise to 1400m and she should have improvement to come. DYNASTY'S LAST (6) gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand. She can improve to finish in the placings. He stayed on well at the finish and will enjoy the rise to 1400m. KOMANDANTE (7) ran a fair race over 1000m on the turf last time. He will like the rise to 1400m. He is a progressive type and with 54kgs on his back, he can improve to finish in the placings. COSMIC CAPTAIN (5) last two starts have been fair. He finished second in his penultimate run over this course and distance. If not in need of this outing, he can finish in the money. |

SALT 'N PEPPA (2) showed good improvement in his last start over this course and distance when finishing third. Will strip a lot fitter and has to be considered. RECORD HIGH (4) ran a fair race on debut over 1000m on this course last start. He would have come on from the run and should love the extra 200m on offer. He should have improvement to come. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from seven starts on this course. Apprentice Brevan Plaatjies retains the ride and the combination merit healthy respect. EXCEPT TEMPTATION (5) last three starts have been good. He won his only attempt over this course and distance, three runs back. Has each-way claims. WILLIAM RUFUS (6) finished a close-up fourth over 1400m at this track when resuming from a spell last start. Strips fitter and can improve. |

Has never missed the frame when third-up from a spell so she is among the leading chances. SUMMER SONG (1) resumed last time out and finished second over 1700m at this track, beaten a nose. Tries the 1900m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be hard to peg back. WOODLAND GLADE (3) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 4.5 lengths away in sixth over 1600m at this track. Well placed to turn things around. |
