Elegant Jewelry and Betelgeuse possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. ELEGANT JEWELRY (9) produced a good run two starts back to finish third but was below par last time when out of the placings at this track over the same trip after she was in contention on the bend. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BETELGEUSE (1) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 1500m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. BAKLAVA (2) is back at the races for the first time since July 26. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1400m at Kawasaki. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with four minor placings. Has found a suitable race and is worth including. PINO MORAN (6) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fifth over 1500m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
