Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Water Geode. TOP VIVID (4) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when seventh over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Should be peaking now and is all set to find winning form. WATER GEODE (1) drifted well back and failed to finish it off last start when fourth over 1400m at this track. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. MILD PRIME (8) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. GRAND PRIX ONE (3) resumes in a similar race to his last run four months ago when seventh. Worth plenty of thought fresh.
