CHANTILLY HANDICAP 1650m Track: GOOD
Expecting Cordyceps One to set a genuine tempo after crossing from wide out. VOLCANIC SPARK (3) has been in the market and racing well at Sha Tin his past couple, bumping into progressive types. He now comes to The Valley for the first time, but he has trialled well here previously. Bentley has options from the draw and if he can come here in his best form he'll take plenty of beating. CORDYCEPS ONE (5) is known to blow the start at times, but is a good horse when he breaks cleanly. He has the early speed to cross from the outside alley and his recent form stacks up well in this event. Will prove tough to catch from the front. CHEONG FAT (12) steps back out to the 1650m where he performed well only a few starts ago. He may be looking for a drop in class, but his recent figures have him right in the finish of this event. Keep safe. SETANTA (6) rattled home over this track and trip a fortnight ago and is not to be discounted.
