Lampero Niki and Hoshino Suna possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. LAMPERO NIKI (4) didn't do a bad job when second last start after being in contention on the bend over 1500m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Has raced four times here and has never missed the frame. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. KIRATTO (7) comes here off a break of six months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1400m at Urawa. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. CALME STEP (6) improved last time out, finishing 1.1 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1500m at this track after being in contention on the turn. Steps up a level but she is good enough to take this out. RESOLUTE SKY (11) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fifth here. Well placed and can fill a top-three spot.
