Reasonable tempo with Shaking Stevens probably leading but a few others should keep him honest.
BOZO (1) followed up her NZ Cup win over 2 miles with an impressive win at Omoto 6 days ago over 1500m. She is in career-best form and can complete the hat-trick, even with an extra 3kg to carry. SUNSET BOULEVARD (2) is a very progressive gelding who made it 3 wins on the bounce when scoring a tough win at Omoto 6 days ago over 2000m. He has to carry his full 60kg, but will still run another big race. SHAKING STEVENS (3) burst through a gap to win the Timaru Cup last time out and was an easy Cromwell winner before that. He has flourished since relocating to the South Island, and he is a winning threat again. OCEAN LIGHT (4) needed his last run at Kurow 11 days ago, and steps up to a more suitable trip here. His stable is on fire, and he would not be a shock winner. IFFIDIDIT (5) has not run a bad race this season, and he is up to any in this on his best day. He drops to a dangerous place at the weights, and should be right in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bozo is the one to beat.
