Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a genuine tempo. ROYAL EXILE (5) King's Legacy gelding who was in crunched in betting on debut when he swept down the outside for a dominant victory over 1000m at Taree. Comes straight to town now and can play a leading role again in this much tougher contest. GOLD GLOBE (3) Farnan gelding from Rubaiya on debut for the David Payne yard. Showed ability in the two trials and no surprise to see him take this out at the good each way price. PROTON (4) Zousain colt from the good producing mare Erin's Element on debut for the Waterhouse & Bott yard. Latest trial here was strong and gets his chance from the inside draw. AUDIT (2) King's Legacy colt from Flaunting on debut for the Les Bridge stable. Fitted with the three trials and has slim place claims at best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Royal Exile and Gold Globe can fight it out.
