Track: FAST

There was plenty to like about the latest performance of MONTEFIORE (2) when he drew out and raced three wide but stuck on for second at this circuit and distance last week. Up in grade but the class rise is offset by a much better barrier. HUGO MAGUIRE (6) missed the start so was solid in finishing fourth when resuming at this circuit. Fitter for that so can progress. JILLIBY FABIO (5) hasn't been performing to market expectations of late but won from this barrier here earlier in the campaign so is capable of more. SCARED STIFF (8) is better placed and has a good record at this shorter distance.

Good run when beaten by 4 m finishing third after being driven well back, behind Ooga Chaka at this track over 1609m in a NR up to 80 on April 26 at $10. Then a handy effort when beaten by 6 m finishing third behind Kanena Provlima at this track over 1609m in a 3 0K/5 Starts on May 6 at $15. Go well.
