EWING (1) switches to the Golino yard from Victoria where he placed three back at Cranbourne. Hasn't raced for a month but was readied with a trial win here and draws to advantage. ALPHA STRIDE (2) was well fancied when resuming but bombed the start and blew his chances. Fitter and draws much better so can be a force if the manners improve. VALLEY STAR (6) was fourth from a standing start last time and placed the last two times he started behind a mobile. RACING EYES (3) resumes after eight months but is proven fresh and was readied with two trials, winning the latest. Market watch.
