DENNY ROCKS (4) has been competitive of late and kept the ball rolling last time when 3 metres from the winner in second over 2170m at Cobram. Primary contender based on those recent efforts. RUNKLE (5) finished second last start over 1730m at Bathurst, beaten only a head, after also filling a minor placing at the previous appearance over 2260m there. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. BIG SLEDGE HAMMER (8) is worth plenty of thought off a last-start win by 3 metres when resuming at this track over 1690m. Top-three contender. HOORAH PHILTRA (9) last appeared when sixth over 1770m at Albury four-and-a-half months ago. Must be respected while fresh.
