Solid tempo likely with The Cuban and Sheetice matching motors. THE CUBAN (9) has been about the mark for a while without winning. Led by a good space at Kyneton last start but was swamped late and finished a close fifth over a similar trip to this. Should beat this field if he runs up to that performance. FINAL CRACK (2) is another consistent galloper. Chalked up the sixth minor placing from nine starts when a tiring third over 1400m at Canberra three weeks ago. Better placed back to today's trip - he has placed 2/2 at this course and distance. RICH DISPUTE (13) has been freshened up since a poor run at Echuca a month ago. Form before that was solid including a tidy third here at the trip on 22 March. Can bounce back. MAGICHOLLER (8) found 1000m a bit short at Wagga last start but he got to the line well. Capable of figuring up to this journey at just his third race start. SHOW SECRETS (12) failed first-up at Kembla but this is easier. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on The Cuban.
