Moderate tempo with Three Brillante leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. SCHLOSS (7) was far from disgraced when second last time out over 1400m at Mizusawa. That followed a win at Mizusawa at the previous outing. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. SOL ESTRELLA (4) turned in a fine effort to score by 6 lengths at today's course and distance when resuming from a layoff last time out. Nicely placed to feature in the finish again. THREE BRILLANTE (2) is back at the races for the first time since July 1. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep over 1300m at Mizusawa. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with three minor placings. Worth plenty of thought. ANIMAL QUEEN (3) was beaten 3.5 lengths into seventh in a 1400m contest at this track last time out. Finds a nice race and can make amends.
