From their good gates Noborifuji, Three Cause and Ice Melting will likely vie for the lead in a keen pace battle. Some progressive types clash in an interesting race. THREE CAUSE (3) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Went close to a maiden win before the layoff, finishing second at his latest appearance over 1400m at Tokyo Dirt. Ready for a bold run. ITOSHISA (8) made significant late ground last start to get up for third over 1400m at Tokyo. Shows great promise and should be winding up late again. ICE MELTING (5) ran well on debut last start to finish second over 1200m at this track in an encouraging effort. Will benefit from that experience so she should be in the finish. NINJA TOTTORI (4) improved second-up last start but found a couple better over 1200m at this track, beaten 2.75 lengths. Nicely placed to maintain the form.
