Placed to advantage from the barrier and can get off the mark. IN BOCCA AL LUPE (5) justified the support on debut when a gritty second in the heavy (10) going over 800m at Coffs Harbour. Has further upside and apprentice sticks. No excuse from the gate. STARWARD (3) much better performance when he gripped on late to run third over 1108m at Port Macquarie. Only has to repeat that effort to stay in the mix. SOBEK (6) Headwater gelding out of Holy Empress on debut for the Singleton yard. Has impressed in all three trial wins and must be respected despite drawing out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,5,3,6.
