Dona Aphrodite to take charge ahead of Lucy Noir at a strong tempo. ICE READING (4) went back early from her wide draw over 1400m at this track last time but hit the line strongly to finish fourth. Well placed and the one to beat. TOKEN SOUR (5) made a strong late bid only to just miss when first-up last start over 1400m at this track. Sure to derive great benefit from that run. Goes up a rung or two but she is capable of running another bold race. LUCY NOIR (8) comes here fresh from an all-the-way win by half a length over today's journey at this track on December 5. Has a strong record here at this journey with three wins from six runs. One of the main contenders. NAC SIRIUS (3) doesn't win very often but ran a nice race last time out over 1200m at this track, finishing fourth and beaten 0.6 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a bold display.
