Expecting Razanne to be prominent but one or more of the first starters should add to the early pressure. RAZANNE (10) looks the one to beat. She debuted with a tough effort at Sale over 1415m, showing speed and fighting on gamely to the line to be beaten just a head into second. She'll no doubt be better for that and if she gets across early she'll take plenty of catching. BLANKFIELD (1) has placed in both starts to date, working home well at Cranbourne last time out over 1300m. Another 100m here looks to suit and he'll be the one coming late. SUNSHINE STAR (12) is a filly by So You Think on debut for the Hayes yard. She's jumped out fairly well but may want further in time. CAROLINA ROSE (7) was solid on debut at Colac and is open to improvement, albeit this looks a touch harder. SUGGESTED PLAY: Razanne to win.
