Crimosa and Shadowfax should set a strong tempo. CUBAN WATERS (5) owned a sharp trial win in readiness but couldn't produce first-up, just sticking on gamely into fourth. Better for the hitout and can get the job done this time. SHADOWFAX (4) went fast early and went on to score easily last time out over this track and trip. No tougher this time and can repeat the dose. SMASHING ACTION (6) jumped out well in readiness but failed to make an impact when resuming in town. Easier this time and strips fitter. Not out of it. ZUETORO (1) was well below his best last time when chasing in vain behind Shadowfax. Meets the winner 2.5kg better this time and doesn't lose anything in the saddle with Holder taking over. Chance to turn the tables. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cuban Waters to win.
