PHALANGE RING (5) finished third at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1600m at this track, finishing back in seventh. Better than the last effort suggests and deserves another chance. SANTA ANA WIND (9) is a six-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing third at this track over 1800m last time out. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. HELLO NEW ME (3) missed the frame last start over 1600m at this track, finishing sixth. The engagement of Yuji Iwahashi is noteworthy. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. AQUARIDS (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in third over 1600m at this track. Suitably placed so he can be prominent again.
