Love Manic and Captain Blue have the pace to take up the running at a solid tempo. CAPTAIN BLUE (8) is going well with two minor placings from three starts this time in work. Continued the trend last start when runner-up over 1500m at Funabashi after he was prominent throughout. Looks well placed so can strike. KING MINEO (10) is still a maiden after six runs. Was one of the favoured runners last time out and didn't live up to market expectations but had kicked off the campaign with back-to-back seconds so is capable of better. QUANTIZE (3) is an 11-start maiden who could only manage to finish tenth at her latest appearance at Urawa but this is easier and she draws better. Among the chances. REIGNING KING (6) is back at the races for the first time since October 10. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last prep. Can make his presence felt.
