A solid tempo is on the cards with Sapphire Gold and T's Clare pushing for the lead ahead of Augusta Flag and Rayleigh Spirit. RAYLEIGH SPIRIT (4) put the writing on the wall when he improved last start but found one better over 920m at this track, beaten only 1.5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Big chance to go one better. WIN TITANIA (10) was beaten 1.3 lengths into third at this track two starts ago then finished 4 lengths from the winner in fifth last time at this track. Well placed and gets her chance to break through. AUGUSTA FLAG (1) was in the money two starts back at this track but was unable to repeat the effort last time. Draws well so can do better. BLOEIEN CHERRY (5) last appeared a month ago over 1800m at Niigata when she finished 12th. This is her first run for the Tsuyoshi Kawanishi stable and will enjoy the class drop.
