GRAVITE (2) returned from a spell last start with a strong third in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at this track. Key runner - don't underestimate. FESTIVE BEAM (8) filled a minor prize two back in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama. Couldn't emulate that effort last time out, beaten 11 lengths into sixth in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Deserves another chance. MATENRONO KAZE (6) is going over the jumps for the first time. Finished 3.5 lengths away seventh at the latest appearance on the flat over 1800m at Kyoto Dirt. Sure to be competitive.
