MIDGE CHAMP (6) has been racing in great heart with four top-two finishes on end, the latest a second over this distance at this track when he was handy all the way. Worth noting Yamato Ishikawa goes aboard. Top chance. NANTE HIDA (3) was safely held in tougher company two runs back then appreciated the drop in grade last time and scored at this track and trip. Draws the same barrier and is among the leading players again. MOON PASS STORM (7) recorded a strong maiden win over 1300m at this track last time, getting there by 3 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Winning rider Naohito Tanaka stays aboard and she is right in the mix again. COMBAT PARYS (4) has been in the placings at his last two starts. Could break through.
