CLEAN SLATE (6) was in the firing line on the bend and finished second last start at the first run back from a spell, beaten 1.5 lengths. Owns a good second-up record so can progress. MANON ROUGE (1) added to a string of top-four finishes when only beaten 1.5 lengths last start. Draws the inside so another forward showing is anticipated.
