Only a moderate early tempo with no recognised leaders taking part. VGOR (3) finished 0.8 lengths from the winner in second in a much better run last time out on the all-weather over 1000m. Extra trip a plus and his turf form is better. Definite winning chance. BLUEJAY (11) is backing up six days after finishing second over 1200m on the all-weather, adding to a long sequence of minor placings. Assisted by the rails draw and shapes as a major threat. CHEERFUL BABY (10) is yet to break through in 10 runs. Finished eighth at his last appearance over 1200m at this track on May 4. Expected to feature in the finish this time. MY BOSS (8) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1400m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Looks to be in the right race so anticipating another big run.
