Strong early pace from Claptone, Pennart and Amalfi Amore, with Candy Kiss and Crown'm on their heels. HE'S A COPY BOY (4) appreciated the drop in class when he turned in a real eye-catcher last start over this trip at Grafton, coming from last in a field of 14 to be beaten just half a length. Meets a slightly better line-up this time but drops 3.5kgs with the claim. Sure to prove tough to hold out. ROTHROCK (3) missed by the barest margin over today's journey at Wyong two runs back then was less effective at 1850m last time. This looks an ideal race. PENNART (5) won two in a row, including a big maiden win at this track, before a gallant fourth over 1350m at Wyong last Thursday. Major player on the quick back-up despite being new to this journey. CLAPTONE (1) led but just failed to hang on in a thrilling finish at Grafton last start. Steps up to his pet trip today at the third run of the prep. Profiles nicely. CROWN'M (10) hasn't been all that far away in his last couple at Newcastle. Cherry-ripe now and worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: He's A Copy Boy on top.
