BETTOR MAN (7) resumes from a spell of three months after closing off last campaign with three placings, the last outing being a solid second at Kilmore. Interesting to see what unfolds from this wide draw but he was readied with a trial placing so is likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. ALDEBARAN BRIANNA (6) broke but did a good job to recover and finish 2.2 metres from the winner in second when resuming at this venue. Draws wider but with manners she can progress off that. ALDEBARAN MIGUEL (10) was fourth despite a flat tyre on debut last week at Shepparton. Tricky draw but has scope for improvement. LARAS DREAM (1) was midfield when resuming from the back row. Fitter and is better served by the ace draw.
