Plenty of pace from the outset with Margiela and Pure Makena leading the charge. RAIKONO HIKARI (3) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 1.5 lengths back in third over 1600m at this track. Worth noting Ryo Kobayashi goes aboard. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HUOMENTA (7) turned in a fine effort to score dominantly at this course and distance last start in a much improved run. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is capable of testing her rivals. STRAIGHT (1) turned in a fine effort to score at today's course and distance last time out to continue her outstanding recent form. Must raise the bar but another win beckons. PURE MAKENA (11) was in the firing line on the corner and finished second last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2 lengths. Will be rock-hard fit. Placed to advantage so expect another bold run.
