GOING:

MAJOR OAK THEATRE RESTAURANT PACE 2125m

Track: GOOD

PAPA JOE (4) resumes from a spell of ten months after showing promise in a two-start a maiden campaign at Bathurst, winning on debut and missing narrowly in his other attempt. Has changed yards since and has been solid in a couple of recent trials so should be ready to go. UPSTREAM (7) enjoys a class drop on the last attempt at Menangle. Form prior to that had been solid, recording back-to-back placings here. Drawn to enjoy a nice run and if she gets the gaps could prove tough to beat. NEVERTOOLATE (1) has come from this barrier to place in his last two appearances at Bathurst. Can be competitive again. GOODTIME BRAVO (5) can feature after racing parked but sticking on for fourth here last time out.

Resumes. Finished off last preparation when a close second after a quick start, behind Forever Onthe Punt at Bathurst over 1730m in a 3yo 2 WINs on July 9 at $1.85. Previous preparation first-up won by a nose as favourite when quickly away, (Fr5) at Bathurst (2:06.60) beating Princess Ballerina in MAIDEN on July 2 at $1.55. Has upside and has been trialling well so could make a winning return.
