Not a great deal of pressure likely in the small field, with Mishpat a potential leader. THE BULLET (3) improved run when up in trip for a narrow second over 1700m at Wellington. Senior rider hops aboard and the blinkers come off and the side blinker goes on. Back to his preferred trip and no excuses today. FIERCE LUVA (5) three-year-old gelding by Fierce Impact out of Luvaluva on debut for the Robb yard. Unplaced in all four trials at Randwick. Must respect with the claim from the low draw. NORTOKO (6) went forward early and struggled in the straight when seventh over 1600m at Dubbo. Gets a better set-up here and place prospects look best. FLAMEON (7) returns from a let-up after covering ground early and dropping out sharply when fifth over 1600m at Orange. Was slow to recover on that occasion and deserves another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Bullet can get the job done.
