Ladbrokes Popular SRM Maiden Plate 1125m
Good early pressure anticipated with a large contingent of first starters. YOUMZAA (9) ran a strong race on debut at Bendigo, in the market and boxing on well behind a talented galloper, beaten two lengths but doing well to hold the rest. She'll be better for that and sets up for every chance. VOLTRIX (6) is a colt by Written Tycoon on debut for the Hayes yard. He looked very talented winning a recent Seymour trial by two lengths and should go well first time out. AVERY ANNA (7) is a filly by The Autumn Sun on debut for the Corstens & Larkin yard. She's won a jumpout and draws well for Williams. FIRST ACT (5) didn't fire in two runs last time in but can be a sharp improver for strong connections this time around. PNEUMA (2) is an Impending gelding for the Jacques yard. Unfashionable combination but did win a jumpout quite well and could sneak into the top four. SUGGESTED PLAY: Youmzaa on top. |

Music Workshop Maiden Plate 1525m
Just a moderate tempo headed by Dejavast, Rising Nine Top and Kissattack. Looks a bit of a match race between MENESS (8) and TRUE REBEL (10) who come through a hot maiden behind Zambale at Bendigo. Meness was first up as a $5 chance and just missed a nose while True Rebel was on debut and caught the eye with a booming finish. Early betting favours the upside of True Rebel but we'll go the other way with Zahra sticking on Meness up on speed where he'll get the favours. RISING NINE TOP (9) didn't fire last time but had been solid fresh and has minor claims. KISSATTACK (6) resumes off a trial win and could surprise at odds while TOP RICH (2) is a former NZ galloper making his local debut for the Douglas yard, watch the betting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Meness to win. |

Raceday Medical 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1425m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Fringilla. Keen on PLATINUM PEARL (7) here at her third career start. Both runs to date have been very good, beaten 1.2 lengths by Saintly Dancer (since G2 placed) on debut before missing a nose at Seymour. She'll relish another rise in trip and with any early luck getting across she'll be very hard to run down. STAR JE TAIME (11) resumes. She was thought highly enough of to run in a G3 on debut, not firing behind Satono Glow. She's since trialled nicely and should be a sharp improver. STIPULATION (12) was behind Platinum Pearl on debut but did start shorter than that filly before bumping into a good one at Sandown Hillside last time. Sets up very well on speed now and should go close. DELAHRA (2) is off a break but has ability, watch for her hitting the line. ROEBUCK PLANE (9) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Platinum Pearl to win. |

Auswide Plumbing and Civil Maiden Plate 1325m
Pace looks genuine from El Ferdinando, Silky Seth and Sirvaldane, closely attended by Cool Aza Breeze. Siding with CONQUER THE WORLD (9) who ran a strong race on debut here over 1100m, getting a long way back and charging home into third. The extra trip suits ideally, the barrier doesn't, but we'll back an in-form Ben Melham to get the job done. SILKY SETH (5) ran a solid race first up at Bendigo when settling on speed, fading into fifth late. Fitter for that and should run a good race. WHITEBAIT (11) is a gelding by Almanzor for the Waller yard who debuts. No doubt he'll get over a bit more ground in time but he's won a jumpout and looks to have good ability, respecting. SO ROYAL (12) is a filly by So You Think on debut for the Freedman yard who has jumped out well enough to be a factor despite a tricky gate. COOL AZA BREEZE (8) is knocking on the door and in the mix again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Conquer The World on top. |

Without a noted leader engaged Thunder Park may cross and take it up. ARADEO (8) resumes. She showed good ability in four runs last time in, never missing a place and going to the paddock off a dead-heat maiden win at Pakenham as favourite. She can improve again this time in and go on with the job. CUSHIONED (9) resumes. She was last seen running in the G3 SA Fillies Classic having run midfield in the G1 Australasian Oaks prior. This trip will be on the sharp side but she can win on class. SUMALUV (11) is coming off a maiden win at Bendigo and has race fitness on her side. She'll be hard to hold out. CYBER LINK (2) has been thereabouts in two runs this time in and comes back a notch in class with D Lane booked, respecting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Aradeo on top. |

Dragoon should lead and dictate terms. CHIHULY (7) broke through for a smart win at Sandown Hillside last time out, coming away to score by 2.75 lengths. Showed speed there and should set up well from a good draw this time around. Can repeat the dose. SHULTZY (3) the veteran is racing well, not far away in a tougher race at Caulfield two back before battling into a distant 2nd at Sandown Hillside last time. This suits nicely. BLACK PEPPERMINT (4) hasn't won this time in but is going okay. He was behind Chihuly last time but was in the market and can improve. BIRATU (9) just missed at Seymour last time and is open to further improvement. DRAGOON (2) can convert a good synthetic win to turf and figure. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chihuly to win. |

Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Just Desserts. JUST DESSERTS (1) looks a nice horse in the making. He did plenty wrong on debut when third but has atoned for that with two good wins, dominant onto turf at Seymour last time when scoring by 5.5 lengths. He'll kick up from the inside and go close. RICH KING (9) is coming off a good maiden win at Bendigo. Ran out this trip strongly there and sets up well on speed again, consider. SARAPO (10) resumed with a narrow maiden win at Bendigo and should only improve up in trip. Will be running on. STAY HUMBLE (2) continues to race very well without winning, he's another that will set up on speed and run well. ROGUE WARRIOR (4) next best off a narrow win at Tatura. SUGGESTED PLAY: Just Desserts to win. |

Jim's Mowing BM66 Handicap 1125m
Pace genuine with Mr Assertive booting up to lead. IT'S A YES (8) raced and won on Monday at Warrnambool, scoring dominantly. Quick turnaround seems unlikely but he's a good horse and if Lindsey Smith does opt to back up he'll be very hard to beat again. SUN DEVIL (4) resumes. He looked good winning his first two starts, too strong on debut at Kyneton before a Sale BM62 victory. He didn't measure up in a good 3yo race at Flemington before a break but this suits ideally fresh. SHE'S MY EX (3) was just fair fresh over 1000m at Mornington, sent out favourite but racing a bit keenly. She can improve sharply with the edge knocked off. ROSANGELA (5) has won two in a row on synthetic tracks. Now to turf but she'll get good ground and run well. ARABELLA STAR (11) struggled fresh in tougher over 1000m but should get a soft run here and can improve up in trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: It's A Yes & Sun Devil to win. |
