Just a moderate pace anticipated. Pretty moderate maiden where IAMTHEDEVILSELBOW (4) will find this easier than the provincial's last time. Has shown enough to go close in this line-up. GRADIVUS (6) is a Victorian who was safely held over 1200m fresh and looks suited by the extra ground. Fitter and has upside having started only twice. HASTA LA SILVER (3) is also a two-start maiden and ran a much better race at second outing on heavy ground at Naracoorte. Likely improver who can get off the mark this time. KARMA QUEEN (7) has had quite a few chances but shows some ability and kept coming last time on the dirt at Port Augusta. Has the claim and looks a leading chance. CAESOUR'S TOMB (2) wasn't far away at the provincials last time and rates well on that run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Iamthedevilselbow can improve. |

The race lacks early speed so doubt they will go too hard. Big field but JUST COMET (10) is the one to beat. Has placed 2/4 so far and has been racing in far richer maidens. Placed fresh on the provincials then a handy fifth in a 50k maiden at Morphettville Parks last start. Tricky gate but tends to get back and power home. Goes close here with even luck. GRAND MILLESIME (9) was also fifth at Morphettville Parks two back then fourth last time at Mildura. This is easier and looks a definite danger. ILUSTRIOUS WARRIOR (2) has a much better record than it looks. Trialling well and is among the main chances. NIC THE CASH (4) is worth following up after a strong run last time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Just Comet. |

Moderate tempo expected with Flying Shelby likely to find the front over Urbanise and Ima Dozer. Very moderate line-up with many non-winners. FLYING SHELBY (2) doesn't win out of turn but does boast good form for this. Carried almost 70kg in a highweight last time and freshened for this dropping back to the mile. Will be strong at the finish and gets chance to find form. ON THE MAP (7) was thereabouts last time and has winning claims this line-up. Trained on the course and pretty solid last three runs in similar company. SPLASH OF WHITE (6) may appreciate the extra trip now and is drawn for a soft run. SPELMAN (3) is better than last run when too far back and certainly worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flying Shelby gets chance. |

BLUE ISLES (4) has been ticking along well in tougher company, finishing fourth at Morphettville Parks two back then placed in a Class 1 at Murray Bridge latest. Both times has settled at the tail and came with a sweeping run. Gets her chance here. ENCIPHERING (1) made a nice return at the provincials when fourth, racing on speed. Fitter and can give a sight here over the extra ground. UNWIND (7) finished fourth last time out over 1400m at Murray Bridge, beaten 7 lengths. Strong top-three chance. AUSSIE PHAROAH (3) is better than the last start suggests. Narrowly beaten fresh and can atone in this easier company. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Blue Isles. |

Yorokobi should be able to comfortably find the front. Lots of win chances. DIVINE FIRE (6) was outclassed in town last time but did win a race very similar to this two back at Strathalbyn. Gets chance to atone. COLLATED (2) has very similar form. Winner two back at the provincials then safely held at Morphettville last time. Can bounce back. YOROKOBI (7) has been racing well. Narrowly beaten at the provincials two back then runner-up there last time. Deserves to break through. FUWARI (8) is ticking along okay with two runs this time in. Improved last time out when third, beaten 2.5 lengths, at Mt Gambier over 2050m. Looms as a genuine contender. IRLANDAIS (11) is on the quick back-up after racing at Murray Bridge on Wednesday. Winds up strongly and has placed 2/3 here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Divine Fire can atone. |

Will find this easier than the last couple over the border on heavy ground and should be tough to stop late. TOUR DE MOON (4) has placed at both runs this time in, the latest over 1200m at Strathalbyn when third, beaten 2.75 lengths. Won't find this as tough. Likely to feature. MISS ELLANEOUS (8) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 1200m at Murtoa. Key runner who can get home hard into the finish. FOREVER WAITING (5) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by a long neck over 1100m at Naracoorte. Fitter and is among the better chances. FULL COMMITMENT (6) will find this easier and is worth keeping safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Switch Hit will be hard to hold out. |

Not much early pace and doubt they will go hard. SHE SPARKLES (10) is nearly three seasons without a win but is just going so well at the moment she deserves one. Just missed two back then a close-up fifth at the provincials latest. Worth noting her sole win was here at her only try. Can break the long drought. ROB THE BANK (2) was a fresh-up winner when last resuming and looks a top chance fresh on the back of a good trial. MELISSA KATE (6) is a veteran mare who is long overdue. Has racked up three minors on end and does go well here. Always in the mix. OUTPOST (1) is back in trip and has the claim. Much better draw and is worth another chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: She Sparkles can break through. |

Pace genuine with Immortal Spirit and Exonumia pressing hard closely followed by Just Like Lisa and Redneck Woman. Several win chances, several making up the numbers. THE ICE CUTTER (6) got back fresh at the provincials, hooked wide and launched late before just failing to rein in the winner. Nice return and looks tough to stop again. PRODIGAL LAD (1) ran below expectations last time at Strathalbyn, finishing seventh and beaten 7 lengths starting at $3.90. Has the talent to figure prominently. Can atone. EXONUMIA (2) finished second at Port Augusta two runs back then was not far away over 1430m at Naracoorte after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. JUST LIKE LISA (4) has not won for a long while. Last raced on August 28 when beaten 4.5 lengths into fourth at Naracoorte over 1100m after being handy for much of the way. Overdue and looks hard to beat on her best form. LUNARSHOT (5) will be winding up late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with The Ice Cutter. |

Hedonist and Costless possess good early speed. NARALINGA (2) is a lightly raced six-year-old in great form, winning two of the last three and loving heavy ground. Hard to fault and goes close, especially if it's a slog. LADY MEMPHIS (12) resumed nine days ago over 1000m at Murray Bridge and was only beaten 0.8 lengths into fifth. Has a very strong second-up record. Faces an easier assignment so she can make amends despite the tricky gate. SKYTALKER (5) comes here off a break of six months. Scored over 1200m at Bunbury to launch the last campaign. Makes plenty of appeal. SATAY CHICKEN (1) was a fresh-up winner then sixth at Naracoorte last time. Gets a chance to atone.
